Corrosion-resistant materials for the wastewater industry - Water and Wastewater
The highly corrosive environments found in the municipal & industrial wastewater market make it a core industry for Sauereisen and our corrosion-resistant materials. We have decades of experience in delivering quality products and services that provide dependable solutions for these aggressive environments while helping to preserve municipal and industrial assets. Whether it`s restoration or new construction, Sauereisen addresses the environmental and economic challenges posed by water inflow and infiltration (I&I) and Microbiologically Induced Corrosion (MIC).
Collection Systems and Treatments Plants
Sauereisen materials are frequently specified throughout both wastewater collection systems and treatment plants. In collection systems, common applications are found in manholes, lift stations, interceptors and medium to large diameter tunnels and pipe.
In sewage treatment plants, Sauereisen products protect the surfaces of wet wells, headworks, aeration basins, digesters, grit chambers, sedimentation tanks, clarifiers and any other structure that comes in contact with the wastewater stream. Sauereisen products are also used in chemical containment, secondary containment and process areas.
Specialized Corrosion-Resistant Lining
Sauereisen’s renowned SewerGard® 210 lining systems prevent infrastructure failures and maximize asset service life. Our system is specifically formulated for wastewater environments and offers an economical solution to Microbiologically Induced Corrosion (MIC). SewerGard® resists high concentrations of sulfuric acid and other treatment chemicals common to municipal wastewater systems and it exhibits moisture tolerance, allowing it to bond directly to damp concrete. SewerGard® 210 systems are 100% solids and environmentally compliant - with no VOC’s. SewerGard® is available in multiple formulations to meet any project demand. Each variation is engineered specifically to maximize the most current application methodology.
Substrate Repair Materials
Sauereisen recognizes the need to incorporate an “engineered systems” approach to specifications. Substrate repair materials and protective linings must be compatible, but few companies possess the solutions or understanding to offer both.
