Not just analysis. In recent years we have developed a series of products specifically designed to maintain our finest analysis systems. From the cheapest to the most expensive, each analyser needs a certain amount of maintenance, which may vary depending on the technology used. The calibration of instruments is an essential part of their use, on which their reliability and precision depend. However, if for instruments with a low resolution (i.e. the "quantity" of elements for which they are designed) precision cylinders sold by gas manufacturers are sufficient, this is not possible for analysers that can analyse compounds in the order of ppb (parts per billion). 

Thanks to the experience that ETG Risorse e Tecnologia has accumulated over the years - designing and maintaining these highly accurate analysers - it has developed a series of calibrators designed to generate the right amount of concentration the required levels. The ETG CALG series uses different techniques such as permeation generation or dilution, or a combination of the two. The ETG calibrators interface is immediate and easy to use: set the required quantity to generate the mixture. Inside the interface are installed components of the highest precision and with suitable certification.

Related to the issue of calibration, the question of gas purity is a crucial issue. Gas producers have a great interest in providing impurity-free products. Or, if the gas is intended for medical use, it mustn`t contain potentially harmful compounds. In any case, there are several good reasons why it is necessary to check the gas for traces of other undesirable compounds. This type of analysis requires very sophisticated instruments, as it is necessary to identify elements in minimal quantities within a gas mixture. In recent years, public attention to climate change has increased enormously. Since the 1990s, reducing pollution and the greenhouse effect has become a political priority, especially for the European Union and the Paris Agreement countries. Over the years, ETG Risorse e Tecnologia has provided the appropriate instrumentation to monitor greenhouse gases to several Italian research centres. In particular, we have analysers specifically designed to monitor the presence of methane (CH₄), carbon dioxide (CO₂) and water vapour (H₂O) in the atmosphere. The ETG 6900 analyser has been specifically designed to control Methane`s dispersion produced by Biogas plants in landfills.

In many industries - especially those with a combustion process - bag filters prevent particulate matter dispersion. These filters, precisely in the shape of a bag, are positioned before being expelled into the atmosphere; fine dust is the major pollutant present in urban areas. The breakage of these devices is inevitable, and their wear depends on the type of process. In any case, every industry that uses them must periodically replace them. However, these devices may break before they are replaced, thus effectively nullifying their function; if their failure is not noticed in time, the system will disperse an excessive level of particulate matter into the air. Thanks to the ETG DUST probes, it is possible to detect a sudden and sudden increase in the threshold, thus undoubtedly diagnosing the bag filter breakage. Besides, particulate meters suitable for emission control are available.

The import/export of food and beverages is one of the most propitious economic activities today. Thanks to globalisation, a country rich in food excellence as Italy can export its specialities and many small entrepreneurs can expand their market. However, inevitably counterfeiting phenomena have developed, in which, for example, the wine contained in a bottle does not correspond to the origin indicated on the label, although it is guaranteed. Thanks to the analysis of some particular isotopes of the water in the sample, ETG Risorse e Tecnologia can provide the instrumentation to identify the exact origin of food and drink.
