ENTACT is the industry leader in the management and treatment of heavy metal impacted soil, sludge, and debris. Approximately half of the projects we have completed over the past 21 years have involved metals. These projects have included soil and sediment removal, residential cleanups, smelter closures, earthwork/mine reclamation, and decontamination and demolition of mine and mill structures at both active and abandoned facilities. Former Mine Closure
- Decontamination and demolition of mill structures and six process tanks
- Consolidation and containerization of residual process sludge, ore concentrate, RCRA hazardous waste, PCB transformers
- Reclaimed 80,000 cubic yards of heap leach
- Activities performed as part of larger corporate divestiture program
Smelter Closure
- On-site activities included closure of former process ponds that were converted to lined and capped cells with a total capacity of approximately 180,000 cubic yards
- Off-site activities included the remediation and restoration of 559 lead and arsenic impacted residential properties
- Cooperative and collaborative effort combining regulatory, owner, and community stakeholders
