Wastewater Lift Station Level Measurement

Application Challenge: A wastewater treatment plant required reliable level measurement for a challenging application at a pump station with pipes, ladders and a grid floor.

History: Existing level sensor measurements were unreliable due to false echoes detected from the obstructions.

Solution: ABM’s non-contact radar level sensor with horn antenna was selected and installed ~8 feet above the grid floor. The self-adjusting radar sensor automatically eliminates unwanted echoes from the pipes, ladders and grid floor with only one panel removed in the lift stations.
