ABN Apparatebau Nittenau GmbH was founded in 1982. ABN took over the production of compressors and vacuum pumps from AOA Gauting, which until then had a branch on the company premises. The AOA company is still active in the field of fuel pumps for the aerospace industry. This know-how was also incorporated into the development of the oil-free membrane technology for compressors and vacuum pumps. In 1988, under the current managing director Karl Heigl, ABN began active marketing of environmentally friendly and durable membrane technology. The ABN cannot claim today without pride; that this technology is on the worldwide advance and, due to the oil-free technology, makes an important contribution to environmental protection. It was and is very important for continuous success that all employees internalize the company philosophy.
