Auxicolor - Filtration Systems
Osmosis: A natural phenomenon in which the water passes through a semi-permeable membrane from a less concentrated solution to a more concentrated solution. Reverse osmosis is called to the reverse natural process of osmosis by an external force. Reverse Osmosis: A process in which water is forced to pass through a semi-permeable membrane from a solution more concentrated in dissolved salts and other contaminants to a less concentrated solution through the application of pressure. The purpose of the reverse osmosis is obtained purified water starting from a flow with large amount of salts such as the sea water.
Hydranautics Membranes
Auxicolor - Model CPA - High Performance Membranes
Hydranautics’ CPA (composite polyamide) membrane elements have become the trusted industry standard for high performance, high purity applications. CPA elements are available in both 4-inch and 8-inch diameters by 40-inch long spiral wound configurations as well as smaller diameter and shorter length elements for all high purity applications. Our CPA elements can be used as either standalone product or part of our Integrated Membrane Solutions® (IMS) which combines a range of RO, NF, UF and MF membrane technologies to achieve the most comprehensive, effective, low-cost results in the industry. CPA membranes provide some of the highest salt rejection rates available – every element on every order for every customer.
Auxicolor - Model ESPA - Energy Saving Polyamide Membrane Elements
Hydranautics offers a complete line of energy saving polyamide ESPA reverse osmosis membrane elements for a wide range of water treatment applications, including: the treatment of well, surface or wastewater with high salt rejection requirements, high purity industrial applications and seawater desalination plants requiring high boron rejection. Hydranautics has several installations around the world for these and other applications that combine their patented RO, NF, UF y MF membrane technologies to create the perfect water treatment solution for their customer. One example is a large seawater RO plant on an island country in the Mediterranean that uses the combination of SWC5 and ESPAB in the unique Hydranautics process- Integrated Membrane Solutions (IMS). The high performance SWC5 is ideal for use with ESPAB membrane in the second pass in seawater and brackish water reverse osmosis plants that have stringent boron rejection requirements.
Hydracap - Ultrafiltration Membranes
HYDRAcap is used to treat surface water, ground water, seawater and waste waters as either primary treatment or as pretreatment to reverse osmosis (RO) and nanofiltration (NF). Compared to conventional pretreatment, HYDRAcap allows for higher fluxes for RO and NF systems while maintaining longer intervals between cleanings. In some cases it replaces conventional pretreatment for potable applications, ground water recharging and water recycling.
Auxicolor - Model LFC - Low Fouling Membranes
LFC3-LD from the LD Technology™ innovative low fouling membranes, combines the attributes of a neutrally charged surface with hydrophilicity to achieve the lowest organic and colloidal fouling in the most demanding feed water conditions. Superior membrane technology is the key to Hydranautics’ innovative LFC (Low Fouling Composite) membranes. LFC3-LD membranes offer breakthrough technology in the treatment of difficult feedwaters and municipal wastewaters. Until now, these applications required significant pretreatment prior to being subjected to a composite polyamide membrane, which is eliminated with the use of the LFC3-LD membrane.
SanRO - Membrane Elements
SanRO and SanRO-HS elements are USP (United States Pharmacopoeia)-compliant and are typically used in producing purified water in pharmaceutical, medical, biotechnology, food, beverage and semiconductor processes. Elements meet all requirements for purified water (PW) and conform to FDA Regulation CFR, Title 21. SanRO and SanRO-HS elements feature a net-type outer wrapping that allows easy access for cleaning in place, reducing the potential for element fouling and residual accumulation of contaminants on the element’s exterior. Sites where microbial growth might occur are thereby eliminated when compared with fiberglass-wrapped elements. Heat sanitization reaches areas where biocides may not be able to reach and is also a process that is easy to monitor and control.
Auxicolor - Model SWC - Seawater Desalination Membrane
Hydranautics is the world leader in seawater desalination, producing over 500 million gallons per day (2 million m3/d) of purified water. With more installed capacity than any other competitor, the SWC membrane provides unparalleled and consistent operating performance. SWC elements are available from Hydranautics in both 4-inch and 8-inch diameters by 40-inch long spiral wound configuration for all desalination applications. The high productivity SWC elements offer the highest levels of salt rejection with a consistently pure end product.
