Flue Gas Cleaning
Scrubber Systems
Our first scrubber systems went into operation in 1988. Since then we have delivered a great many, chiefly for cleaning and/or condensing flue gases generated by the incineration of waste. Combining several process stages in our patented multi-stage scrubbers reduces space requirements, and our integrated circulation tanks minimize energy consumption in the pump system.
Baghouse Filter Systems
We have installed baghouse filter systems in installations for the incineration of both municipal and environmentally hazardous waste in biofuel-fired installations and applications within the mining industry. The primary purpose of baghouse filter systems is usually the removal of dust and, by introducing an additive, the removal of acidic components such as HCl, HF and SO2. Dioxin and mercury can be removed by the addition of activated carbon or coke.
Flue Gas Condensation
Condensing Scrubbers
Condensing scrubbers can be made as stand-alone units or for integration in our multi-stage scrubber concept. In their standard design they are made from GRP (glass reinforced plastic). They have the great advantage of not suffering corrosion in ways that condensers made from metal do, and they are thus not so sensitive to short or long periods with high concentrations of corrosive substances. Such conditions can occur due to e.g. operational disruptions upstream of the flue gas cleaning system, or with fluctuations in fuel composition.
Dioxin Removal
ADIOX - Absorbers
ADIOX tower packing can also be installed separately in a vessel, usually located immediately downstream from a wet scrubber system, where the flue gas is still moisture saturated. This is an advantage compared to installation in a scrubber, as there is no need for a droplet separator and liquid recirculation system. Instead of liquid collecting plates, grids can be used to separate the tower packing beds, thus making the installation more compact.
