Combining technical expertise with decades of regulatory experience, our engineers and scientists analyze the complex factors that drive flooding in an area, implement proactive measures to prevent flood damage, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Led by seven certified floodplain managers, Barr’s interdisciplinary team specializes in flood insurance studies, mapping services, floodplain analysis and delineation, modeling, levee certification, and feasibility studies.

Computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) is the use of computer technology for the process of design and design-documentation. CADD produces drawings and conveys information, such as materials, processes, dimensions, and tolerances, according to application-specific conventions. Barr’s engineers and designers use CADD to create conceptual as well as detailed designs and drawings that may include structural, civil, mechanical, plumbing, material-handling and electrical systems and components in addition to general arrangements and plant layouts.
