Binder+Co CRITERION - Separating System

CRITERION is the system for separating different types of plastic. Also in developing CRITERION, Binder+Co approached the challenge from the view point of the user. The needs of our customers for a compact multi-stream solution led to the conception of CRITERION.

Binder+Co - Glass Sorting Plants

Over four hundred glass-sorting plants more or less the whole world over speaks for itself! We were the first in China, Australia, South America and Japan, not to mention a number of European countries. From the beginning our strategy aimed at not only building the best machinery for processing waste glass, but also to combine these machines with each other in optimum processes. And achieving customer-specific demands has highest priority: both technologically and economically! The innovative strength of Binder+Co AG manifests not only in optical sorting machinery but also in particular in the constant optimisation of process-engineering concepts and the development and improvement of mechanical process parts.

Binder+Co - Roller Crusher

An optimum cullet grain size of 10 to 50 mm is crucial for sensor-supported separation since a higher content of fines (0-10 mm) would have an unfavourable effect on sorting performance.  The double roll crusher from Binder+Co provides for an optimum comminution curve of cullet as well as low energy requirement, long service life and low wear. Furthermore, the double roll crusher breaks glass combinations (glass in connections or glass around corks) and crushes bottlenecks and thick bottle bottoms. Large-size glass-bottle parts are thus turned into optimum sized cullet which can be passed on for optical separation.

Binder+Co - Waset Glass Separator

The use of waste glass as a secondary raw material requires that cullet is sorted according to optimum purity. Metallic impurities in cullet from waste-glass create unwanted discolourations in the production of new glass and can even damage the glass trough. To efficiently remove these unwanted effects, Binder+Co has developed a compact NF-sorting device which identifies metal particles greater than 1 mm and ejects them from the material stream by means of compressed air. The sensor is not affected by industrial influences such as electromagnetic disturbances, vibrations and wetness. Non-ferrous metal sorting devices are available in widths of 500, 700, 1000 und 1400 mm and have a throughput of 5 to 25 t/h depending on sorting width.
