KV 3 is often used as piston- and frame insulation in heated presses or as pressure plate in heated moulds and tools.

The ready-to-install material is manufactured accordingly in our works, wrapped onto the workpiece on-site by hand and then cured by UV light. The range of possible applications of our BB^Protect® is very wide. Sensitive welding seams of pipes can be protected by it for instance or even attached full-surface to the pipe.

For public sewer systems, generally group 3 resins in acc. with DIN 18 820 T1 and/or according to EN 13121  in group 4) are used.For aggressive industrial applications, such as those involving alkaline solutions and/or high temperatures, the GRP composite is impregnated with a special vinylester resin. This resin corresponds to group 5 in accordance with DIN 18 820 T1 (and/or to group 7 in accordance with EN 13121). As glass fibre quality ECR glass fibre (e.g. Advantex) is used. This makes it possible to realize a suitable rehabilitation concept for all types of sewage.

Very high strength glass fibre. Glass-fibre reinforced plastics (GFRP) have been used for decades wherever high strength, excellent chemical resilience and extreme durability are required of an industrial material. Since the 1940s, Brandenburger specialises in the processing of high-performance materials. The company has been using GFRP composite materials successfully in modern, trenchless sewer rehabilitation since the early 1990s.

An Essential Aid. The internal and external foils used in the Brandenburger liner are styrene-proof and environmentally friendly. This keeps styrene emissions at a minimum.The external foil offers physical protection and is also UV-proof. This makes handling easy at the job site. The internal foil is removed after the Brandenburger liner has cured. Only the actual liner remains in the sewer.

A GFRP pipe liner consists of a seamless pipe made of laminated webs of pure glass-fibre impregnated with resin (GFRP). Using a proprietary, patented Brandenburger process, liners are manufactured with lengths up to 300 meters and cut to the required length. The liners leave our factory ready for installation.

Easy Sewer Rehabilitation. The pipe liner design, the type of resin, and the advanced UVA technology allow Brandenburger liners to cure at the fastest possible rate. An UVA vehicle may be driven through the sewer pipes at speeds from 40 to 300 cm/min, which means that sewers are operational again after a very short period of time.
