Challenger manufactures a wide range of Baling machinery including those specifically manufactured for baling oil filters.

Challenger manufactures a wide range of Baling machinery including non-ferrous Balers known by us as a Shear Baler. Shear Balers are ideal for small to medium sized scrap yards where there is the need for a fairly simple, inexpensive machine capable of handling bulky non-ferrous scrap and to a lesser extent, bulky ferrous scrap. Ideal raw materials are car shells, aluminium scrap, stainless vessels, factory cuttings, etc and in a standard format, they make 300 mm by 300 mm by variable length bales.

Challenger manufacture a wide range of Baling machinery and a large proportion of which is for repacking otherwise loose products such as chopped straw, chopped hay, haylage, woodchips, woodshavings, etc. to be used in the animal bedding and animal feed industry.

The Challenger Waste Compactor range is manufactured to couple to standard compactor containers and there are charge box volumes to suit every application from 2 cu.m.

Whilst waste compactors are usually manufactured with an integral electro hydraulic power unit, the speed of operation and compaction force can be manufactured to suit the client.

Drum Crushers; All the machines in the Challenger Drum Crusher range are designed to crush standard 205-litre (45 gallon) capacity steel drums to a fraction of their original height. The range includes stand-alone manually fed machines through to fully automatic machines and, in certain applications, they can be used to remove the drum contents during the act of crushing. All machines are manufactured to order and they can be provided with a wide variety of options, including ATEX certification, if necessary.

Large Engine Crusher; The Challenger Large Engine Crusher has been specifically developed to reduce large engines and gearboxes into small particles. This enables the aluminium to be separated from the ferrous and other metallic components to ease sorting. The Large Engine Crusher has both a fully automatic cycling mode and a manual mode and can be supplied with a number of optional extras including diesel / petrol engine drive, hoppers, support frames, hydraulic oil cooler, adjustable finished particle device, warning alarms, feed and discharge conveyors, etc .
