We power the Springs, literally. With our electricity and natural gas services, customers are able to turn on their lights, heat their homes and cook their meals - usually without ever having to think twice about it. While we have the ability to serve our customers with the energy they need, it's always a good idea to use it wisely. We offer several tools to help you conserve electricity and save natural gas. It's good for you pocket and good for the environment too.
Natural Gas Service

Colorado Springs Utilities does not own a natural gas field. However, we own and maintain an extensive network of pipes that safely deliver natural gas to commercial and residential customers throughout Colorado Springs. To reduce the impacts of market volatility on our customers, we incorporate a price-hedging program for the purchase of natural gas. The program calls for the hedging of more than 70% of our natural gas supply needs annually.

As a community-owned utility, we are responsible for providing a safe and reliable flow of water to our citizen owners. We are impressed with and grateful for the vision and wisdom the pioneers before us showed in developing such a complex and valuable water system. Our employees are continuing this legacy by responsibly managing every aspect of our water service - from securing water rights to delivering quality water to your home or business.

Duct Sealing Service

Are you aware…In a typical house, about 20 percent of the air that moves through the duct system is lost due to leaks, holes, and poorly connected ducts. The result is higher utility bills and difficulty keeping the house comfortable, no matter how the thermostat is set.

Carbon Monoxide Service

What is carbon monoxide? Like any fuel, natural gas needs enough oxygen from combustion air to burn safely and completely. Without enough oxygen, the burn is incomplete and carbon monoxide (CO) results. CO is a colorless, odorless, deadly gas. Because you can’t see, taste or smell it, CO is known as the silent killer.
Cone Zones Service

Every year, we embark on hundreds of planned and emergency construction projects across our community. With every construction zone comes equipment, workers and changes to roads. Although injuries and fatalities related to cone zones have decreased in past years, the risk still exists. Even one injury is one too many.
