The DRUMPAK consists of a robust stainless steel containment system incorporating a sealed closure. The DRUMPAK is a family of three (Design Nos 2948A / 2949A / 2950A), designed to carry a wide range of radioactive material. The large cavity allows flexibility in packing contents and will accommodate all the commonly used 200 litre waste drums; large pieces of activated plant and items of manufactured equipment. The stainless steel container provides a robust finish, needing very little maintenance.

The SAFDRUM consists of an Outer Container Drum (Design No 2887) which carries a resealable leak-tight Inner Container (Design No 3019) within an expanded polystyrene. Cavity: 70mm x 155mm (inner).

The SAFPAK consists of an Outer Container Drum (Design No 2767) which carries a resealable Inner Container (Design No 2775) within insulating and shock absorbing cork packing. The Outer Container Drum has a pressed stainless steel body with a bayonet closing action stainless steel lid. The Inner Container is a resealable stainless steel containment vessel. Cavity: 84mm x 121mm.

The 2896A SAFTAINER is designed as an Industrial Package in accordance with the IAEA Regulations for the Safe Transport of Radioactive Material. The SAFTAINER is specifically designed as a transport container, but may also be used as a disposable (at LLWR) container.

The 2m ILW BOX is a stainless steel containment vessel with internal concrete shielding. The 2m ILW BOX is designed as a self shielded storage, transport and disposal package for Intermediate Level Waste (ILW) that qualifies as either LSA or SCO. The 2m ILW BOX is compatible with the Radioactive Waste Management Ltd specification for the 2 metre box waste package, and has been designed to accommodate ILW that is intended for disposal within a geological disposal facility. It is also designed to meet all current transport and disposal requirements after a period of extended on-site storage. The 2m ILW BOX can be supplied in a range of shield wall thicknesses; allowing optimisation against cavity volume for different activity contents. Cavity: 7m³ (nominal) with 150mm concrete shielding

The 200 litre SAFSTORE is designed as a robust storage, transport and disposal overpack for intermediate Level Waste (ILW) with minimum cavity dimensions sized to accommodate a standard 200 litre drum. Manufactured from ductile cast iron (DCI), the container structure provides both shielding and enhanced package performance with minimum reliance contribution from the wasteform. Cavity: 1.1m³ (nominal) with 100mm iron shielding

The 3m3 SAFSTORE-C is designed as a robust shielded container for storage and disposal of ILW.  Manufactured from ductile cast iron (DCI), the container structure provides both shielding and enhanced package performance with minimum reliance contribution from the wasteform. Cavity: 2.2m³ (nominal) with 100mm iron shielding

The 3m3 SAFSTORE-R is designed as a robust shielded container for storage and disposal of ILW.  Manufactured from ductile cast iron (DCI), the container structure provides both shielding and enhanced package performance with minimum reliance contribution from the wasteform. Cavity: 2.1m³ (nominal) with 100mm iron shielding.

The SAFDRUM is designed to be robust and simple to use.  The package consists of a stainless steel open head Outer Drum (Design No CU106) which carries a stainless steel Containment Vessel (Design No CU107) within polyethylene foam packing. The Outer Drum is a stainless steel MIL Spec 30 gal drum fitted with a lid and closure ring. The Containment Vessel is a fabricated stainless steel vessel having a bolted flange closure fitted with an O–ring seal.  Cavity: 299mm x 463mm (inner).

The SAFKEG consists of an Outer Container Keg (Design No 3940) which carries a resealable Inner Container (Design No 3941) within insulating and shock absorbing cork packing. The Inner Container carries an Innermost Container (Design No 3942). The Outer Container Keg has a fabricated stainless steel body with a large stainless steel lined cavity and a bolted stainless steel lid.  The space provided between the fabricated body and the lined cavity is filled with phenolic resin foam thermal insulation. The Inner Container is a resealable stainless steel containment vessel. The Innermost Container is a second resealable stainless steel containment vessel.  Cavity: 128mm x 366mm.
