OxiTHERM - Thermal Oxidation Technology
Classic OxiTHERM thermal oxidation technology compromises a combustion chamber - with a refractory fibre or brick lining - and a burner to oxidise VOC at temperatures >800°C. The installed burner system can also handle ex-rated waste gas streams. Downstream, the energy in the clean hot gas can either be used within the process to preheat the raw gases or externally for the pruposes of steam or thermal fluid generation.
ROxiTHERM - Regenerative Thermal Oxidisers
The most universally-used thermal oxidation technology with lowest operating costs owing to integrated heat recovery. This is achieved via batch usage of at least two regenerator chambers filled with ceramic heat storage media. These are used to preheat the waste gases and to recover the energy from the combustion process. A burner is installed for the start-up. The most popular sizes of ROxiTHERM™ regenerative thermal oxidiser (RTO) systems are also available in standardised ROxiTHERM™Classic form, pre-assembled in the workshop and supplied off-the-shelf in shortest delivery times. For high input concentrations a hot gas bypass can be installed and for double air flows a ROxiTHERM™Twin-mode variant is available.
DeSITHERM - Patented Technology
The patented technology of thermal oxidation for siloxane containing gases. During the oxidation of siloxane-laden exhaust, silicon dioxide (SiO2) will be created. This tends to be very sticky and fluffy in nature and typically results in clogging of the heat exchanger media in regular RTO systems. DeSiTHERM™ avoids this problem via continuous cleaning of the special ceramic heat exchanger media. This reduces the need for maintenance and enables continuous purification of the exhaust gas stream.
