Flowmeters for Bulk Solids

DYNA - Mass Flow Measurement of Bulk Solids

The DYNAmas flowmeter is used for continuous flow measurement of all kinds of bulk materials by applying the capacitive measuring principle. Accurate online flow measurement in free fall, as well as for pneumatic transport systems. Product concentration and transport speed are simultaneous and independently measured, and then used to calculate the mass flow rate. Thus, the measuring system is independent of fluctuating transport speeds. The device, available in different nominal diameters, is easy to calibrate and its reduced dimensions allow hassle-free integration into existing systems. In essence, DYNAmas contactless measuring is wear-free. The DYNAmas flowmeter has been designed to handle any bulk material flow, starting already with small volumes. Accordingly, the device proves suitable for many different applications. Configuration and measured values are displayed via the DYNAcon communication unit, which also provides various PLC interfaces.

DYNA - Microwave Technology Bulk Solids Flow Measurement System

The DYNA M-flow leverages advanced microwave technology for accurate flow measurement of bulk solids within metallic pipelines. It accommodates flow ranges from a few kilograms per hour to several tons per hour, making it ideal for a variety of industrial applications including powders, dust, pellets, and granulates. The system is engineered for seamless integration with pneumatic conveying and freefall processes, facilitating easy installation and startup. Key features include a contact-less measurement mechanism, adjustable sensitivity, long-term stability, and robust reliability. The DYNA M-flow comprises a sensor probe, a DIN-rail transmitter, a welding branch, and DYNAvisual PC software. The sensor attaches flush to the inside of pipes via a welding branch, suitable for both vertical and horizontal configurations. Connectivity options encompass RS232, RS485, pulse output, error relay, and 4-20mA analogue output. Calibration is performed using DYNAvisual software with one or multiple reference points, and data can be output in analogue or digital form. The system also features a galvanically separated RS485 interface for PLC integration.

Flow / Level Monitoring

DYNA - Flow Indicator for Solids

The DYNAguard K is a flow indicator for solids, designed to monitor mass flow in solid material handling applications such as pneumatic transport lines, feeders, or gravity chutes. It operates on electrostatic or triboelectric principles and features a non-contact, non-intrusive design. Only moving material is detected, making it immune to issues caused by deposits. The device's detection area is within the flange's interior and it offers versions supporting both relay and 4...20mA output. An LED-bar displays flow in the relay version. The compact unit can be easily mounted between DIN / ANSI flanges and withstand pressures up to 40 bar (570 lbs). Its reliable and stable operation helps prevent plant issues like clogging, material loss, and downtime by detecting moving electrical charges produced through friction. However, it is unsuitable for solids that create an electrical conducting layer on the sensor. This indicator plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operation in various industrial processes.

DYNA - Microwave Level Detection for Bulk Solids

The DYNAguard L is a sophisticated microwave barrier measurement system consisting of a transmitter and receiver unit designed specifically for the level monitoring and detection of bulk materials. This system operates by emitting microwaves from the transmitter, which are then received and evaluated by the receiver unit. As bulk material accumulates between the transmitter and receiver, it attenuates the microwave signal, triggering individually adjustable switching operations to indicate that a certain level has been reached. Conversely, it can be used for minimum level detection when silos are being emptied. This versatile system supports contactless measurements and features an LED display for easy individual adjustments. It is especially suitable for use in silos, pipelines, chutes, containers, and various vessels. Furthermore, it can measure through electrical insulators, which is beneficial in special process conditions involving temperature, pressure, or specific products, thereby allowing the system to be disconnected from the vessel being monitored. The DYNAguard L offers reliability and ease of installation, even in GRP containers.

Dust Measurement

DYNA - Broken Bag Detector and Filter Monitor

The DYNAguard GM is an advanced broken bag detector and filter monitor, designed for detecting filter malfunctions such as broken bags or installation errors. Operating on a modified triboelectric principle, it detects particles interacting with its sensing rod, focusing solely on moving particles and ignoring static deposits. This ensures accurate detection and monitoring. The DYNAguard GM is available in three electronic versions, offering analogue (GM20), relay (GM01), or transistor (GM02) outputs. Users can easily adapt the device under normal conditions with switches and a potentiometer, making the alarm level adjustable. The sensor rod length should be tailored to 1/3 to 2/3 of the duct diameter, up to a maximum of 800mm. Installation is straightforward; the device is installed on the clean gas side downstream the filter in a metal duct. Straight duct segments upstream and downstream are recommended for optimal performance. This device is reliable, maintenance-free, and cost-effective, making it ideal for consistent dust measurement over the long term.
