EFR GmbH

EFR is a system provider active in the field of energy management in Germany and large parts of central Europe. The company, with headquarters in Munich and locations Wutha-Farnroda (Thuringia), Berlin and Aachen was established in 1993 and is a subsidiary of Bayernwerk, N-ERGIE and Netze BW. Under the banner Future-proof control, metering and communications, EFR offers package solutions for digital management of smart grids. EFR operates a longwave broadcasting system with transmitter facilities at Frankfurt am Main, Magdeburg and Budapest, and controls more than 1.3 million radio receivers. The company currently serves 350 customers in the energy industry.
