Environics, Inc. applications

While the applications may be standard, the performance and quality of our systems are anything but. Every unit is engineered with precision and built to deliver exceptional reliability and accuracy, far exceeding typical expectations.

Environics Continuous Emissions Monitoring Calibration Systems (CEMCS) have been trusted in CEM vans and labs for over 20 years and meet or exceed US EPA 40 CFR Part 51 Method 205 Appendix M requirements. Our systems are custom built, computerized, mass flow controller based gas calibration systems which allow you to dilute a single high concentration cylinder of span gas to low levels for the calibration of gas analyzers. The standard Series 4040 can generate blends down to a 10,000:1 ratio with standard MFC sizes, and more with custom options.

Some research and industrial applications require the mixing and dilution of explosive gases at high concentrations, which introduces elevated safety concerns. To help mitigate these risks, Environics offers a dual-chassis system design for the S3000 or S4000/4040 specifically engineered for applications involving explosive gases.

Environics gas mixing and delivery systems are widely used by both sensor developers and manufacturers. Designed for versatility and precision, our systems are ideal for sensor R&D as well as high-throughput production screening and sorting. Whether in the lab or on the production floor, Environics systems provide an efficient, reliable solution for consistent gas delivery and testing.

Environics Gas Mixers, Dilutors and Dividers have been the used in laboratories for over twenty years for applications including gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), GC with Flame Ionization Detector (GC-FID), and GC with thermal conductivity detector (GC-TCD). Our systems can produce gas concentrations from percent to ppb levels at the required flow rates for single or multi-point calibration.  In all cases, Environics mixers allow you to use less expensive single-gas cylinders or bulk tanks in place of a high number of expensive blended cylinders.

Environics units are a powerful tool in the fields of hypoxia, hyperoxia and hypercapnia.  Scientists have successfully used the standard ROBD2 and ROBD3  as well as more tailored S3000 Gas mixers (such as the ReDO2 shown below) for these highly varied projects. To see some recent research topics that have appeared in peer-reviewed publications, including a recent study entitled, "Uncovering Latent Deficits Due to Mild Traumatic Brain Injury by Using Normobaric Hypoxia Stress" and a review of the potential use of the ROBD2 to evaluate the need for supplmental oxygen in flight for at risk commercial plane passengers, see our research applications page.

At Environics, we know it is essential that your shielding gas mixes be reliable and accurate in order to guarantee your desired weld quality. Our systems allow on demand gas generation to use bulk gases to supply a variable number of stations easily and cost effectively. Our Series 3000 Gas Mixing and Delivery system or S4000 can provides for precise mixing of shield gases for welding.  Whether you utilize a two gas blend of CO2/Ar, O2/Ar, or He/Ar or a three gas blend of CO2/O2/Ar and CO2/He/Ar, the high accuracy and consistency of our mixers makes them the units of choice for all of your welding. With the increased cost and decreased accessibility of Helium, the ability to closely monitor the blend and reduce waste provides additional cost savings.

At Environics, we make precision simple so you can stay focused on what matters most. For over four decades, we`ve empowered innovators with systems that offer consistent, repeatable accuracy and tailored designs. We offer complete support throughout the lifecycle of your system - from initial consultation and custom design through validation, training, and ongoing service.

Environics® Ambient Monitor Calibrator with Ozone Generators facilitate dynamic calibration of ambient air analyzers. These instruments automatically perform zero, precision, span and multi-point calibrations using NO, NO2, SO2, CO, O3, hydrocarbons and other gases of interest. All ozone generators are factory calibrated using a NIST traceable ozone standard. The Series 6100, Series 6103 and Series 9100 all meet or exceed U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requirements.
