Controllers - Snow Switch Controller

ETI - Automatic Snow/Ice Melting System

The APS-4C Snow Switch when used with one, or more, compatible sensors automatically controls snow/ice melting heaters for minimum energy costs. Applications include pavement, sidewalk, loading dock, roof, gutter and down spout snow/ice melting in commercial and industrial environments. The APS-4C is interchangeable with the earlier APS-4. The adjustable hold-on timer continues heater operation for up to 10 hours after snow stops to ensure complete melting. The optional RCU–4 Remote Control Unit can be located where system operation can be conveniently observed. It duplicates many of the APS-4C front panel functions. High limit thermostat.

ETI - Snow and Ice Melting Systems

The Snow Switch Model GF Pro utilizes standard Environmental Technology snow and ice sensors (sold separately), applications include snow and ice detection and melting for pavement, sidewalks, loading docks, roofs, gutters and downspouts in commercial and residential environments. The GF Pro interfaces with up to two standard Environmental Technology sensors to meet site requirements. The CIT–1 sensor may be roof or mast mounted and can be paired with the GIT–1 sensor for gutter applications or the SIT–6E sensor for pavement applications. All three sensors detect precipitation as snow at temperatures below 38°F (3.3°C), saving energy and ensuring thorough snow and ice melting. Since 1968, these sensors have been the industry’s most versatile and cost-effective automatic snow melting control sensors.

ETI - Snow and Ice Melting Systems

Utilizing standard ETI snow and ice sensors (sold separately), the automatic Snow Switch Model PD Pro control is used in snow and ice detection and melting for pavement, sidewalks, loading docks, roofs, gutters and downspouts in commercial and residential environments.

ETI - Snow Melt System

Snow melt system controls just got configurable. Along with ETI’s legendary CIT-1 aerial sensor, the Snow Switch LCD–8 with its configurable magnetic switch, makes automatic snow melting a cost effective alternative in even the smallest applications. Heaters operate at temperatures below the set-point, 38°F (3.3°C) default, only when required. The adjustable hold-on period, 3 hours default, continues heater operation after snow stops to ensure complete melting.

Controllers - Tracon Heat Trace Controllers

ETI - Temperature Controller

The FPT Controller is a single channel temperature controller with up to 5 fixed set points. A universal power supply allows the FPT 130 to operate from 100 Vac to 277 Vac and control resistive loads up to 30 amps with 30 mA ground fault protection.

ETI - Temperature Controller

The GPT 130 Temperature Controller is ideal for use in any electric heat application requiring a control system to maintain a steady temperature. With 2% accuracy span, built in 30 amp relay with a 30mA GFEP your application will be safely and reliably controlled.

ETI - Temperature Controller

The GPT 230 Dual Channel Temperature Controller is ideal for applications which required two independent heater zones.  Each zone has it’s own relay and GFEP.  Any 3 wire RTD or Thermistor sensor can be used for temperature sensing.

Passive Air Dehydrators

ETI - Low Cost Passive & Passive Self-Pumping Dehydrators

The RCD line of passive dehydrators keeps small volume waveguide and coax systems dry. These dehydrators may also be used to supply short term protection for larger systems; during power interruptions, maintenance, storage, or transportation. An RCD passive dehydrator contains a drying agent sealed in a pressure tight container. A 1/8″ NPT pressure fitting is provided for connecting to the system to be protected. Gas diffusion insures that the desiccant is exposed to any water vapor present in the system. Unlike mechanically pressurized systems, an RCD passive dehydrator works best when the waveguide or coax system is tightly sealed.

Sensors For Control Panels

ETI - Aerial Snow Sensor

The CIT–1 Snow Sensor detects falling or blowing snow as precipitation at temperatures below 38°F (3.3°C). The CIT–1 provides the industry’s most versatile and cost effective automatic snow melting control when used with any APS or EUR series control panel, old or new.Reliability and sensitivity are key CIT–1 features. The solid state design, combined with a rugged aluminum housing and epoxy potting, ensure many years of trouble free service. Precision precipitation and temperature sensors assure snow detection accuracy.

Compressor Upgrade Kits

ETI - COM Compressor Upgrade Kit

Current ADH–2A COM production uses an improved brushless single diaphragm compressor with a continuous operation life exceeding 50,000 hours in place of the original 8,000 hour brush-type unit. When operated at the recommended 10 percent cycle the new compressor increases the nominal life from 9.2 to 57.25 years. The upgrade kit directly replaces the earlier compressor with the new brushless unit. This kit extends the service life of the ADH–2A COM while increasing the compressor replacement interval to 50,000 hours.
