ASHRAE gives a particle size of 0.1 micron, which could be retained by electrostatic filters. However, the size that can be retained in the wet scrubber is 2 microns. It is 20 times bigger than the particle that can be held by the electrostatic filter.

The electrostatic filter is the most efficient system because of the low power consumption and the ability to be washed repeatedly. While choosing electrostatic precipitator, followings are important to reach maximum efficiency, the air velocity, the high voltages to ionize the air, the number of ionizers and the collector area. While selecting, the temperature, humidity and environmental characteristics of the air passing through the filter sholud be taken into consideration. Our ESP’s are in modular form and each modul has a capacity of 2.500 m3/h or 3.500 m3/h. So, for higher flow rates more ESP modul should be used in parallel.  Obviously, higher flow rates efficiency of filter drops.

We produce cassette type, low pressure drop, high efficiency, easy content replacement activated carbon filters in Ankara-Turkey. Electrostatic precipitators and other filters cannot handle odors in the form of gas molecules. For this reason, the activated carbon filter should be used after the ESP. The activated carbon filter has the following minimum characteristics.

A fan is required to extract the exhaust air through the filters, extract the dirty air from the hood and flush it out.

ECOLOGY UNIT AUTOMATIC WASHING SYSTEM is consist of air inlet cell, metal pre-filter, automatic washing system, electrostatic filter, activated carbon filter,( also optional heat recovery coil ) and exhaust fan. In cold climates, since fresh air heating loads are huge, to decrease operating costs and to protect environment,  restaurant HVAC systems  must be solved by applying heat recovery.

The automatic control panel keeps the electrostatic filter and carbon filter efficiency constant. It controls all functions of automatic washing system. Also includes DCV ( demand control ventilation ).
