With current and proposed legislation, there is an increasing need to remove or minimise the emissions to atmosphere, and when it becomes necessary to replace filters, or to correct a fault, it is frequently found that there is a lack of skilled staff, or they are not available to undertake such work - perhaps due to other urgent commitments.

During the operational life of installed filter media in a dust collector, it is frequently found that levels of emission have risen to an unacceptable level, yet often the majority of filters within the installation are known to be intact and in good condition.

Filtration plays a part in most aspects of day-to-day life, no more so than today, with increasing emphasis on the control of pollution, and the awareness of the need for clean air. Whilst the physics of filtration are in the public domain, the vast diversity to which these devices can be applied means that much of the information required to select the correct medias has had to be gathered empirically over the years, as have the techniques of assembly and manufacture.

Micronair provide a range of facilities that enable companies to comply with the current HSE (Health & Safety Executive) requirements, generally as described in the Documentation. These same facilities also lend themselves to monitoring the requirements of the Clean Air Act, which are enforced by the local Councils, in the form of LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation) regulations.

Filter Cages Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Filter Plus Ltd., a company originating in 1980 under the banner of Micronair to provide general servicing of Dust Extraction equipment. Gradually, the customer base extended, and in 1986 the business was incorporated into FilterPlus Ltd., along with the other related company - Filtermax Filtration Services Ltd. In 2004. the distributorship for a fluorescent leakage detection system - Reactolite was added to the range of services & products.The establishment of Filter Cages came about in 2009, in response to repeated requests from within the industry for a reliable & trustworthy source of filter cages & related products.
