Asbestos Services
Technical expertise to assist clients to identify and manage asbestos containing materials within buildings. It`s the fibres you can’t see that if inhaled can lead to several asbestos related diseases. Past exposure to asbestos kills around 3,000 people a year and this number is expected to rise further. The exposure to asbestos for most of these cases will have occurred in the past, however, the potential for further exposure in uncontrolled situations still exists and controls are required to prevent this.

Technical expertise to assist client organisations in establishing detailed risk assessment for all site water systems and associated support. Employers are required to control the risk of exposure to Legionella bacteria in accordance with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (as amended). Employers have a duty under the Health and Safety at Work Act to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of their employees at work. For non-domestic premises this also applies to people who simply use the premises. The scope of health and safety issues, regulation and guidance continues to broaden into all aspects, from pavements to complex machinery. Many issues are controlled by a common sense approach but regardless of the perceived level of risk, health and safety requires control and the consequences of failure can be severe.
