GAF AG was founded as a private sector enterprise by Dr. Rupert Haydn in 1985 with 5 employees. Since then, it has developed from being a value-adding company within the sphere of remote sensing and digital image processing into a global player and provider of leading skills in the geo-information industry.

The product and service lines offered soon expanded into the areas of information and database system applications and software development, as well as development consultancy for various spatial monitoring, planning and administrative mandates.
