Fixed Wing Magnetics and Radiometrics (High Resolution)
UTS Geophysics is the world leader in ultra-detailed fixed wing magnetic and radiometric data acquisition, through the use of specialised low-level survey aircraft. After introducing the first ultra low-level fixed wing aircraft to the geophysical industry in 1995, UTS Geophysics has since acquired many millions of line kms of high resolution data worldwide from its extensive fleet.
AeroTEM - Helicopter-Borne Time Domain Electromagnetic System
The AeroTEM system is a new and innovative approach to geophysical surveying. The original concept of a coincident coil helicopter-borne time domain system was pioneered by Aerodat scientists in the early 1980"s under the guidance of Wally Bokyo (founder of Aerodat in 1969, and founder of Aeroquest in 1988). Aeroquest has since refined the system design into a practical and field-worthy exploration tool that is optimized to provide the maximum amount of information on a target conductor. The resulting combination of resolution, conductance discrimination, and geometric information is not possible with any other geophysical platform.
Impulse - Helicopter-Borne Frequency Domain Electromagnetic System
Impulse is a digital helicopter-borne frequency domain electromagnetic system developed by Aeroquest and Geophex. This innovative wideband system utilizes a single computer-controlled, high-output transmitter driver to power individual horizontal coplanar and vertical coaxial transmitter coils, producing a total of 3 fixed or up to 8 programmable frequencies (in each coil orientation). Impulse systems are designed to explore to depths of up to 100 m while providing high-resolution results in the very near-surface, and sensitivity in resistive geologic environments.
HeliMAG - Stinger and Tri-Axial Magnetic Gradiometer
Aeroquest operates two helicopter-borne magnetometer systems. The first is the tri-axial magnetic gradiometer system (TAG) which employs high resolution optically-pumped magnetic sensors with unique 3D sensor geometry for more detail and definition in gold and other mineral exploration surveys.
