For small pipeline inspection purposes, Global operates the unique and versatile VersaTrax, tracked Remotely Operated Vehicle. With a variety of applications, its primary use is in the inspection of dry or flooded (to 44.5 psi) pipelines from 6 – 36 inches (15 – 91 cm) in diameter. The VersaTrax uses flexible connecting hardware that allows the tracks and camera to be mounted in-line for operations in smaller diameter pipes. Operation in larger pipes (10 inches or 25 cm and wider) is accomplished by the more conventional parallel or “side-by-side” track assembly which enables steering and stability by angling the tracks.
