The Ministry Of Environment and Forest has issued the Environmental Impact Assessment Notification, 2006, which requires prior Environmental Clearance from MoEF, New Delhi for Category A and at SEIAA (State Environmental Impact Assessment Authority) for Category B before the constriction work & the projects need certain Environmental Studies, Legal Documentations & approvals.

GCI has the state of the art facility to conduct the different types of tests and sampling. Our laboratory is MoEF approved. It is fully equipped with sophisticated instruments for carrying out analysis of parameters covering almost all fields of environment e.g. Air Sampling, Water Analysis, Wastewater treatment, Solid analysis etc. Our staff is well qualified and experienced as well. We have one separate microbiology section wherein we are trying to find some innovative methods for waste treatment. It carries pilot plants and other latest equipments.
