Hydroscreen - Stormwater Runoff Outfall Screens
Removing pollutants from stormwater runoff can be difficult, often requiring detention time which is not always possible. Traditional vault mounted devices require maintenance after every storm event making them costly to operate. The alternative to individual vault debris collection is a Hydroscreen outfall solution utilizing proven tilted wire wedgewire screens with capacities exceeding 1,000 cfs.
Hydroscreen - Detention Pond Screens
Federal water quality discharge regulations require that runoff from parking lots and other impermeable surfaces be discharged into detention ponds to control sediment and floating organic pollutants. These detention ponds must be drained in between storm events to prevent the threat of West Nile Virus. Hydroscreen can help you meet these regulations. While detention pond vegetation can intercept most oil from storm runoff, a secondary line of defense is necessitated. Behind our screens, our orifice plates utilize inverted weir outlet slots which meter storm water through while preventing residual floating contaminates from passing. Organic absorbing material is placed in the void between the detention screen and the orifice place to soak up these pollutants.
Hydroscreen SuperFlo - Downspout Screening Device
Water quality regulations require runoff from roofs be filtered. This water may contain particulate matter, organics, and other substances. The Hydroscreen SuperFlo II can be configured to meet these environmental requirements. It can also accommodate specialized mounting configurations, inlet and outlet pipes from 4" to 12" in diameter, specialized absorbents, debris capacities, lengths, and more.
Hydroscreen - Municipal Water / Wastewater Treatment Plants
Municipal water / wastewater treatment plants must remove contaminants from their diversions in order tom function effectively. Our tilted wire wedgewire screens remove debris and sediment from diversions, preventing plugged filters and costly repair or replacement.
Hydroscreen - Rotary Fish Barrier Screens
Our screens are ideal for the containment of threatened fish within a water body and the exclusion of undesirable species from such protected aquatic systems. Hydroscreen rotary fish barrier screens are available in the undershot and overshot configurations and are often used for hatchery isolation and hatchery water intake.
Hydroscreen - Rainwater Harvesting Screens System
Hydroscreen has developed and patented the perfect solution for screening rainwater prior to its collection in cisterns. Our rainwater harvesting screens utilize proven tilted wire wedgewire screen technology to remove debris and sediments larger than 150 microns. The units are self-cleaning, easy to install, and cost-effective. They are sized to accommodate domestic and industrial applications with flow ranges up to 1,000 gpm and are available in 304 stainless steel or PVC to be compatible with any architecture.
Hydroscreen - Curbstop and Parking Lot Screen Inserts
Federal water quality discharge regulations include the runoff from streets and smaller impervious surfaces where a detention pond is not practical. From a cost-of-operation perspective, it is imperative that the specified curb and parking lot insert filtration device be able to function without cleaning after each storm. Hydroscreen guarantees this by utilizing tilted wire wedge wire screens in its inserts.
Hydroscreen - Large Hydro Diversion Screens
Remove sediments and debris that damage nozzles, runners, and bearings. Avoid lost generation revenues and expensive maintenance costs and equipment replacements. Debris and sediment can plug nozzles and significantly damage runner blades and impellers in large hydro turbines. In some cases, loss of generation revenues can cost as much as $20,000 per day for every day that the turbine is down. When added to the maintenance costs required to either repair or replace these critical turbine components, the costs can easily exceed $100,000.
Hydroscreen - Pump Intake Screens
Municipalities and irrigators must frequently pump water through submerged intakes. Our submerged cylindrical pump intake screens ensure thorough debris removal while complying with state regulations of approach velocities to ensure the safety of aquatic life. Where Zebra Mussels and biofouling are a problem, the screens can be fabricated using a copper-nickel alloy which is most effective in the elimination of the problem. The screens can be manifolded to provide capacity, and can be mounted on rails or provided with flotation for removal to the surface for maintenance. The screens are constructed of 304 stainless steel for corrosion resistance and long life.
