For over 45 years we have been successfully working on behalf of public and private sector clients to deliver projects in the fields of bulk earthworks, infrastructure, wind farms, reclamation and landfill engineering. We have undertaken a wide range of projects, from minor works to major infrastructure projects in excess of £25 million. From gasworks remediation in London to wind farm construction in the remote north of Scotland we have the capability to work nationwide. Our extensive experience means we are used to working to standard and bespoke conditions of contract and routinely undertake projects on a remeasurable basis, lump sum, target cost or guaranteed maximum price. We enjoy working in partnership with our clients and their design teams to deliver cost effective solutions with the minimum of fuss.

The Development Division is engaged in a broad range of Projects across the Development Industry in Scotland. For many years land has featured strongly as one of the main assets of I & H Brown. Land and Property continues to play a vital role to our on-going operations. Investment by the Development Division in new opportunities will play a key role in the future of the business going forward. Our Development Team can draw on a wide range of technical expertise and our established partnerships with leading industry professionals continues to contribute to our success.

Our Plant Division provides a professional hire service to external organisations and is always delighted to receive enquiries from potential hirers. Our fleet of 100 machines is procured from recognised industry leaders such as Caterpillar and Volvo, which offer suitably widespread and efficient service networks. We keep plant for no longer than five years and continually upgrade our fleet with the latest, most efficient models. Our procurement decisions are not based solely on purchase price, but take into consideration whole-life costs and environmental issues such as fuel consumption, noise levels and operator ergonomics. All of our plant operators are registered under the Construction Plant Competence Scheme for the appropriate categories of plant.
