Aeronautical Services

EMI/EMC Prediction Services

IDS Prediction services for Electromagnetic Interference and Compatibility (EMI/EMC) cover installed antenna performance optimization, system level performance optimization, EMI risk assessment and control, Link budget analysis, Rotor Blade Modulation (RBM) effects evaluation, High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and risk assessment of the indirect effects of lightning and its mitigation. All these activities are performed using E-MIND, our software product for the assessment and design of the electromagnetic performance of aeronautical platforms.

EMI/EMC Measurement Services

In-house facilities allow the Aeronautical Division (in close collaboration with the Measurement Laboratory) to offer electromagnetic measurement services in several application fields (i.e. Antennas, Radomes, Harness).

Air Navigation Services

Aeronautical Information & Management Services

With an ever increasing number of passengers and flights (30 million scheduled passenger departures in 2011) global skies are becoming more and more congested, putting extra pressure on existing systems for Air Traffic Management (ATM) and Aeronautical Information Services (AIS). Currently these systems operate largely in isolation of each other, both between different organizations and even within a single organization, and aren’t able to transfer data between them very well or at all.

GeoRadar Services

Mining Services

Slope Monitoring in the Surface Mining Industry has become routine practice to support mining staff in the management of Geotechnical risks. Interferometric radar technology, embedded in the IBIS-FM solution, has emerged as a leading tool for this purpose. The success of slope monitoring radar is attributed to its ability to rapidly measure slope movements with sub-millimeter accuracy over large areas. As a result, IDS slope monitoring radar is effectively used for the provision of real-time alerts in the event of progressive movements that can potentially lead to mine slope failure.

Utility Mapping and Detection Services

IDS offers a full range of non-intrusive utility detection and mapping products which exploit the most advanced ground penetrating radar technologies and methodologies. Whether it is for a water company considering a major new investment or an engineering company looking to reduce costs, such technology offers vital information on subsoil conditions providing reliable data to assess safety conditions and avoid potential danger and risks. Lack of knowledge of subsoil conditions has lead to numerous, often fatal, accidents most commonly caused by utilities rupturing during excavation, pipe corrosion/deterioration and for geologic reasons (Source: The Federal Laboratory Consortium for Technology Transfer, U.S. Department of Transportation and the U.S. Geological Survey reports).
