IGI - Model IG-1401 - Piezometers

The model IG 1401 piezometer consists of a rigid cylindrical housing, of diameter 20mm having the innovative vibrating wire sensor inside. The vibrating wire sensor element is completely isolated from the total stresses acting on the body by the help of O rings. The unique design gives a slimline body which accurately reads water pressure without being affected by the surrounding stresses. The small diameter is very useful as it requires a small  bore hole diameter and hence reduces cost of boring. The piezometer has a high or low air entry filter affixed through an “O” ring at one end. The other end has a sealed cable entry. With the filter in place, the main diaphragm of the piezometer is isolated from solid particles and senses only the fluid pressure to be measured. The filter is easily removable for calibrations and saturation.

IGI - Model dIGIview - Multichannel Vibrating Wire Readout Unit

DIGI View Vibrating Wire readout Units With Engineering units dilsplay is a micro Controller Based indicator for use with Innovative Geotechnical Instrumentataion ` range of vibrating wire transducers. It displays the measured frequency in terms of frequency, time period, frequency squared or the value of measured parameter directly in proper engineering units. Date and Time stamped Data can be stored for over 7000 transducers on different channels and this may be downloaded on a PC through a USB cable. It also reads temperature from the thermistor provided in the vibrating wire sensor.

IGI - Single Channel Vibrating Wire Data Logger

The Innovative Geotechnical Instrumentation`s Vibrating Wire Readout Model digilog 1 has been designed to read most commercially available vibrating wire sensors with resonant frequency range of 400Hz to 6000Hz. It also has an inbuilt readout for temperature sensors (thermistors) which are often incorporated within most vibrating wire sensors. The readout stores both VW and temperature readings into memory and later transfer the stored data directly to a USB 2.0 pen drive.

IGI - Model IG 2102 - Centre Hole Load Cell

These are rugged and compact sensors used to measure loads in tiebacks, rockbolts, struts or tunnel supports. These are designed to meet the demands of the severe and adverse environmental conditions usually associated with construction or mining activities. To monitor tensile load, the load cell assembly has an annular configuration to enable the passage of anchor through it.  To monitor compressive load, the load cell is provided with integral solid centre platens mounted on the end faces of the load sensing element. The load cells have three or six vibrating wire sensors to nullify the effect of eccentricity and an average of the readings of all gauges is equal to the applied load.

IGI - Model IG 2103 - Roof Support Load Cells

These are vibrating wire load cells provided with a swivelling top plate and fixed bottom plate. Number of vibrating wire sensors is generally three. These are used in mines for monitoring load during and after excavation.  A beam is provided between the swivel top of the load cell and the roof. The load cell is positioned at the floor along with the convergence meter. Provision of gas discharge tube protects the sensor against surge and lightning.

IGI - Model IG 1100/120 - Vibrating Wire Strain Gauges

straingauges are used to moniter strains in soil, concrete or on steel structures. straingauges can mesure both compresive and tensile strains.

IGI - Model IG1701/1702 - Earth Pressure Cell/Total Pressure Cells

These are used for measurement of total pressure in earth fills and embankments, at the interface of two different materials or measurement of stress in concrete. Also used for measurement of contact pressures on retaining walls, piles and tunnel linings. These cells consist of circular stainless steel plates, welded together around their periphery and spaced apart by a narrow cavity filled with de-aired fluid and connected by a stainless steel tubing to a pressure transducer. Provision of gas discharge tube protects the sensor against surge and lightning.

IGI - Shotcrete Stress Cells

Shotcrete stress cells are designed to measure radial and tangential stresses in shotcrete linings in tunnels. This instrument provides  the most significant data for determining thickness and stability of shotcrete lining in NATM (New Austrian Tunneling method). These cells consist of two rectangular stainless steel plates, welded together around their periphery and spaced apart by a narrow cavity filled with de-aired fluid and connected by a stainless steel tubing to a pressure transducer. The cell has an inflation valve to restore contact between concrete and cell after the concrete has set. Provision of gas discharge tube protects the sensor against surge and lightning.

IGI - Model IG 1810 - Bore Hole Stress Meter

IGI Bore Hole stress meter consists of a capsule having length 40mm and diameter 30mm. It has a hollow, steel cylindrical body having a vibrating wire tensioned across one diameter. The perpendicular diameter is wedged tightly inside a diamond drilled bore hole in the rock/ coal by a wedge platen assembly.

IGI - Model IG-1002 - Displacement Transducer

Innovative displacement transducer model IG-1002 is ideal for use in single and mutipoint bore hole extensometers. Its unique slimline design is very convenient for multipoint bore hole extensometers as a number of sensors may be installed within a single hole. The sensor also finds application in soil extensometers and roof convergence measurement. It may even be used as a  joint meter in some applications. Provision of gas discharge tube protects the sensor against surge and lightning. Displacement as joint and Displacement as Bore Hole extensometer.
