Johnson-Matthey - Diesel Oxidation Catalyst
Johnson Matthey’s diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) technology can cut CO and HC emissions by more than 90%. Our DOCs are designed to oxidise pollutants in light and heavy duty engines. Carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbon (HC) and nitrogen oxide (NO) are oxidised to carbon dioxide (CO2), water (H2O) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2).
Johnson-Matthey - Catalysed Soot Filter (CSF)
Remove over 99% of particulate matter. Have high performance at low precious metal loadings and low back pressure. Are optimised for specific systems and are durable against temperatures and poisons. Oxidise NO to provide favourable NO:NO2 ratios for passive filter regeneration and for downstream catalyst reactions. Can be coated onto a range of different filter substrate types.

Selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems work by chemically reducing NOx (NO and NO2) to nitrogen (N2). Johnson Matthey offers coated and extruded catalysts.
Johnson Matthey - Selective Catalytic Reduction Filter (SCRF)
Johnson Matthey’s SCRF system integrates selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology coated on a diesel particulate filter (DPF). SCRF plays a key role in modern diesel after-treatment systems to control both oxides of nitrogen (NOx) and particulate matter (PM) emissions.
Johnson-Matthey - NOx Storage Catalyst (NSC)
Johnson Matthey’s NSC technology removes NOX from a lean gas stream and converts it to N2. NOX is adsorbed (lean) and then reduced (rich) → N2. The NSC can be regenerated thermally or under a rich condition. During lean operation, the NSC can also oxidise carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC) in a similar fashion to that of a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC). Composition: Precious metals (Pd, Pt or Rh) with rare earth oxide (REO) and alumina oxide, coated on a flow-through monolith.

Johnson Matthey’s ASC technology removes residual ammonia (NH3) from upstream ammonia dosing systems, converting it into nitrogen (N2) and water (H2O).

Johnson Matthey - Three-Way Catalysts
Gasoline fuelled vehicles utilise a three-way catalyst that can reduce carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbon (HC) and oxides of nitrogen (NOx) emissions by over 99% – if the air-to-fuel ratio (AFR) is accurately controlled. Optimised conversion is achieved with an AFR of 14.7:1.

A Three Way Filter (TWF®) is a gasoline particulate filter (GPF) with a JM catalyst coating. Gasoline vehicles fitted with Johnson Matthey TWF technology can reduce particle numbers by up to 99%.
