Static Mixer

Komax - Custom Channel Static Mixer

The Komax custom Channel Static Mixer utilizes non-clogging mixing technology for mixing water treatment chemicals into water flowing through rectangular channels. The channel mixer can be custom designed to fit open or closed channels and of any rectangular cross-section. Its open design ensures low head loss and allows the debris to pass through without clogging. The engineered chemical injection assembly redistributes chemicals uniformly across the entire cross-section, providing a high level of mixing efficiency as the treated water stream exits the mixer.

Komax - Sanitary Static Mixer

Unique to the food and beverage industry or any industry that requires CIP (Clean In Place) within their process pipeline, the Komax Sanitary Static Mixer is a perfect fit. These Stainless Steel Static Mixers are electropolished and can come as one unit with removable elements for easy cleaning. There are a wide variety of food and beverage applications from “solid” materials such as margarine, tomato pastes, Ketchup & Condiments, Mayonnaise, Jams & Jellies, Yogurt, fruit concentrate & Dairy Products to viscous liquids like syrups, peanut butter, batter, waffle batter, French fry batter, and light fluids similar to soft drink products, beer, vodka, vegetable oil, soybean oil, clear fat, flavor, and coloring. Flavoring and fruit additives can be mixed with a high level of consistency into the yogurt with no tank-settling issues.

Komax - FRP Inline Static Mixers

Fiber glass static mixers or FRP Static Mixers are mostly found in the municipal water and wastewater treatment industry. Komax Systems designs FRP inline static mixers, FRP non-clogging static mixers and FRP wafer static mixers. The Komax custom design Fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) Static Mixers are made by design sized from 1” to 12” they include the application required number of ASME B31.1 welded elements incased in or removable as an assembly in FRP housing with end connections to fit your process pipeline.

Komax - Water Static Mixer for Crude Oil Pipeline

One of the biggest problems with Custody Transfer is the ability to distribute the water and bottom sediments across the crude oil pipeline for accurate crude oil sampling and crude oil metering. Water, being heavier than and immiscible with oil, tends to flow on the bottom of the pipeline, where oil will flow above the water.

Komax - Metal Alloy Inline Static Mixer

There are a variety of different steels, grades, and alloys that static mixers can be constructed of. Komax custom designs Carbon Steel, and Exotic Metal Alloy Inline, and Stainless Steel Static Mixer sized from ½” to 60” diameters. Metallic alloys, such as Stainless Steel, Hastelloy, Inconel, or Titanium, are excellent for the corrosion resistance properties and can withstand some of the most harsh process environments.

Komax - Non-Clogging Static Sludge Mixer

The KOMAX Hi-Pass Sludge Mixer is designed to effectively mix polymer solution into sludge flows prior to dewatering process. Polymer savings in excess of 25% can be achieved. The basis for the mixer design is a set of right rotation elements followed by a set of left rotation elements set at 90 degrees from each other. This is a non-clogging static sludge mixer design as the municipal sludges contain solid and fibrous materials of sufficient quantities and types to accumulate and cause fouling or plugging conditions in standard mixers. This mixer is capable of handling and mixing municipal sludges with solids content up to 5%, and of passing individual solid items with a nominal major diameter up to 25% that of the mixer. It prevents “stapling” of stringy materials in the flow. The pressure drop is 1/3rd to that of the Triple action mixer.

Komax - Lined Static Mixer

Teflon lined static mixers and Kynar lined static mixers are used for applications where harsh chemicals need to be mixed without pipeline corrosion. When mixing harsh and aggressive chemicals, there is a need for corrosion-resistant inline static mixers. Komax Systems has Komax corrosion-resistant Teflon lined mixers & Kynar lined mixers used for mixing concentrated acid or other aggressive chemicals. Available in standard 1″-24″ diameter sizes as standard items. The inline static mixers are available with both schedule 40 carbon steel & 316L S.S. housings. Teflon mixing elements are 25% glass-filled for added strength. All wetted surfaces are Teflon or Kynar (as specified). A choice of injection ports is available, including removable “Injection Tees” and integrated “Injection Disks”. Request a quote for PDA, PVDF, & PTFE lined static mixers today.

Komax - Custom PVC Static Mixers

The in-stock and custom Komax PVC Static Mixers are designed to suit every application from sizes as small as ½” to as large as 20”. Komax stocks the CPS Series static mixer, which contains 4 Triple Action Static Mixing Elements incased in PVC pipe with MNPT ends. The custom Komax PVC Static Mixer is designed to each unique application, to ensure homogenous mixing across the entire process conditions. Komax also manufactures static mixers in other types of plastic, including but not limited to CPVC, PVDF, PFTE Lined Steels, HDPE, and Polypropylene. Komax - Custom Wafer Static Mixers

The patented Komax custom Wafer Static Mixer is designed to fit between existing pipe flanges of any specification. This makes the wafer-style static mixer easier for new and retrofit installations when there is limited space available and you are not able to install a traditional static mixer.

Custom Heat Exchangers

Komax - Sludge Heat Exchanger

The sludge heat exchanger, or Komax Klean-Wall® Heat Exchanger, is mainly utilized for heating municipal sludge, FOG (Fats/Oils/Grease), or manure for aerobic/anaerobic digestion purposes. It is typically installed in a recirculation loop with a digester. Our custom sludge heat exchanger can specifically be used to heat sludge using hot water OR to reclaim heat from hot outgoing digested sludge to heat the cold incoming sludge, enhancing biogas production and assisting in producing Class A biosolids.
