Komax - Metal Alloy Inline Static Mixer
There are a variety of different steels, grades, and alloys that static mixers can be constructed of. Komax custom designs Carbon Steel, and Exotic Metal Alloy Inline, and Stainless Steel Static Mixer sized from ½” to 60” diameters. Metallic alloys, such as Stainless Steel, Hastelloy, Inconel, or Titanium, are excellent for the corrosion resistance properties and can withstand some of the most harsh process environments.
Unique process applications will determine the sufficient material of construction for the custom static mixer. As each process is unique to each application/customer, Komax Systems does not recommend the materials of construction and lets the customer choose the material of construction the mixers are to be made of.

Triple Action Mixing Elements
The Komax Triple Action Mixer provides the highest level of mixing of any static mixer by providing Tow by Two Division, Cross Current/Impingement mixing and Back Mixing which produces highly efficient mixing in a short lay length with low pressure losses.
Non-clogging (Hi-Pass) Mixing Elements
Set of mixing elements placed on opposite side to allow wall-to-wall radial transfer of sludge and debris with no clogging or build up as it offers a wider opening in the center if the static mixer allowing bigger particles to pass through.
These static mixers include the required number of mixing elements per application and can be welded in place or in a removable assembly for easy cleaning/maintenance. The mixers are typically built per ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.1, and ASME Section VIII DIV 1, but can also manufacture per specific project/customer specifications. They also have end connections to suit your typical process connections. Contact us today to learn more about our custom metal alloy and stainless steel static mixer options.
The number of mixing elements is optimized per the desired mixing application outcome. Depending on specific fluid, application, or the required process, mixing length will be used to calculate the sufficient number of elements needed.
- Flanged Ends: Flanged end connections allow for easy mounting of the static mixer into the process pipeline. As a general standard, metal static mixers have raised face flanges per ASME B16.5 or ASME B16.47 (for sizes larger than 24”) standards. Komax can also fabricate mixers to contain DIN (metric) flanges as well.
- Threaded Ends: Komax Systems specifically offers male and female NPT end connections on static mixers as required.
- Weld Prep Ends: For custom configuration, Komax Systems offers weld prep end connections on static mixers.
- Injection Port/Quill: An injection port or quill can be added to the static mixer to allow for an additive stream to be injected directly into the static mixer with desired connection type.
- Removable mixing elements: Stainless and alloy removable mixing elements are available for cleaning, debris removal or inspection purposes as necessary in the process pipeline.
- Flow Straightener: A Flow straightener is built into each static mixer assembly to eliminate any downstream centrifugal effects or swirl allowing sensing probes to be located directly downstream of the unit.
*All static mixers are custom made; end connection type can be made per customer request.
