Dustex - Activated Carbon Injection System
An Activated Carbon Injection (ACI) System is an engineered system from which powdered activated carbon (PAC) is pneumatically injected from a storage silo into the flue gas ductwork. The PAC adsorbs the mercury from the flue gas and is then collected with the fly ash in the plant’s particulate collection device. ACI is the most established commercial technology for reducing mercury emissions from flue gases. It has been proven through numerous full-scale demonstrations to be the most effective, cost efficient way to reduce mercury emissions from most boilers. Depending upon the type of fuel being burned and the type of air pollution control equipment installed at the plant, ACI can reduce mercury emissions by more than 90%.
Dustex - Vertical Cartridge Collectors
Dustex developed & was granted a patent on a design of vertical cartridge collectors which incorporates innovative features which allow for: Longer cartridge life than conventional horizontal configurations. Ease of maintenance as all cartridges are accessed from the clean air plenum. Exceptional cartridge to tube sheet sealing characteristics which prevents leakage. Wide pleat spacing to ensure the formation of a deep & porous dust cake. Flat bottomed closed end-caps to allow for uniform cleaning of the whole cartridge filter area. Single CJ Module designs are capable of handling anywhere from 750 to 92,000 CFM.

LDX Solutions Dustex - Circulating Dry Scrubber
This technology has been in Great Britain since the 1930’s but didn’t arrive in the United States until 1967. It brings high levels of fine water droplets, hydrated lime, and flue gas together within a circulatory fluidized bed reactor to create ideal reaction conditions. The Dustex® CDS is one of the most highly efficient and easy to operate systems in existence. The process can achieve >99% SO2 and HCl removal efficiency and is available in a range of sizes. For power plants, single units can be installed at plants up to 300+ MW, and multiple reactor vessels can be utilized for plants larger than 300 MW.
