Services include Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) noise, developing acoustical design criteria, reverberation time measurements, compliance with town and state regulations, and preparing recommendations for reducing noise levels. LSG&A also reviews construction documents to ensure that the recommended acoustical design provisions have been correctly incorporated into working drawings and specifications.LSG&A is Pre-Qualified with the New Jersey School Development Authority, New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction, and the New York City School Construction Authority.

Goodfriend & Associates has been providing expert witness and legal testimony in cases regarding land use planning, noise impacts on property, zoning laws, and compliance with state and local regulations. Our acoustical experts are licensed professional engineers and are well qualified to provide testimony in the field of acoustics.

LSG&A’s industrial noise experience includes measuring, evaluating, and recommending criteria for industrial noise transmitted to the surrounding community. We provide recommendations for noise control treatments for pumps, chillers, cooling towers, diesel generators, etc., for reducing community noise levels and employee noise exposure. Our services also include certifying and assessing hearing damage risk. LSG&A engineers work with plant engineers in developing acceptable procedures for reducing employee noise exposure compatible with OSHA requirements.

LSG&A has specific experience in the design of the acoustical aspects for wood, concrete, and metal-framed multifamily projects. We provide both design and testing services for the sound insulation associated with walls, sound and impact insulation of floor/ceiling systems, and the noise control of building mechanical and plumbing systems.
