LS Instruments - Conventional DLS Instruments
Conventional DLS instruments carry the risk that multiply scattered light can lead to incorrect particle size measurements without ever warning you. Especially with concentrated samples, complex sample preparation and dilution are necessary. This is exactly where our NanoLab 3D comes in. The NanoLab 3D™ is a compact DLS instrument for particle sizing that is based on the groundbreaking and patented Modulated 3D Cross-Correlation technology. It efficiently suppresses multiple light scattering and therefore sample dilution is no longer required for most samples (see application note on "Particle Sizing in Highly Scattering Samples").
LS Instruments - Optical Rheometer
The DWS RheoLab™ is an optical rheometer. It provides access to the sample`s viscoelastic properties over an unmatched frequency range and enables the study of textures and microstructures while requiring only small sample volumes. Since the measurements are contact-free and non-destructive, the use of a tightly sealed sample cell allows studies of stability or shelf-life over long periods for highly viscoelastic and fragile microstructures. Based on the powerful DWS Microrheology technique, the DWS RheoLabTM is ideally suited for a wide range of viscoelastic samples, including polymers, microgels, protein solutions, emulsions, particle suspensions, dairy, and cosmetic products.
LS Instruments - Dynamic and Static Light Scattering for Powerful Particle Characterization
The LS Spectrometer™ is a goniometer-based multi-angle static light scattering (SLS) and dynamic light scattering (DLS) instrument for particle characterization. It is a modular platform enabling a high degree of customization. Even in its basic configuration, the LS Spectrometer™ is one of the most sophisticated instruments on the market and is particularly well suited as an entry-model. Should your demands on the device increase over time, the LS Spectrometer™ can easily be upgraded to the 3D LS Spectrometer™ configuration at any time. Our patented modulated 3D Cross-Correlation technology opens up the world of error-free particle characterization of even highly concentrated samples.
LS Instruments - Digital Correlator
The LSI Correlator™ is a digital correlator designed for real-time computation of auto- and cross-correlations as well as photon counting of pulse streams arising from dynamic light scattering (DLS), diffusing wave spectroscopy (DWS), diffuse coherence spectroscopy (DCS) and fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) experiments. This advanced hardware correlator implements both the multiple-tau (multi-tau) and linear-tau digital correlation algorithms which allow spanning the largest lag-time range nowadays available. This makes our correlator suitable for particle sizing of both fast and slow dynamics samples. Our device is specially designed to offer the greatest flexibility, robustness, reliability, and platform portability. Its powerful hardware architecture makes the LSI Correlator a stand-alone device, suitable for further customization.
