ESC Confined Space Entry & Monitoring Training (Energy Safety Canada) certifies you to work in Levels 1, 2 and 3 confined spaces, and trains you to: Identify the hazards associated with entering confined spaces. Control the hazards. Keep track of other workers in confined spaces. Recognize the duties of Confined Space parties as defined by ESC standards. Communicate with workers in the confined space. Respond to emergencies.

If you are required to utilize fall protection equipment on Oil Sands Sites you must have Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection Training and be competent in the proper use, care and maintenance of fall protection equipment. METI’s Training includes practical exercises, class discussion, DVD presentation, written knowledge test, and practical exam.

ESC Fire Watch Training (Energy Safety Canada) Training is required for workers intending to serve as a Fire Watch/Spark Watch. ESC Fire Watch is approximately eight hours in duration and includes an instructor-led presentation, review exercises, class discussion, written knowledge test and practical exam.

Our Respiratory Protective Equipment Training – RPE Training – APR Training – SCBA/SABA/Bottle Watch Training will train you to safely use Air Purifying Respirators, Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus, and Supplied Air Breathing Apparatus and to perform duties associated with Bottle Watch. RPE, APR, SCBA/SABA/Bottle Watch Training is designed for anyone who works “under air”, & for anyone who performs duties associated with Bottle Watch whether, within processing, manufacturing, construction or oil and gas or for anyone who requires respiratory protective equipment training.

Our Air Purifying Respirator Training – APR Training gives you the skills and knowledge to safely and effectively use an Air Purifying Respirator (APR). While the CSA (Canadian Standards Association) governs all equipment we use, CSA Standard, Z 94.4-11, Selection, Use and Care of Respirators is the reference guide for safety professionals, developing and maintaining respirator programs in most provinces.

With METI’s Confined Space Training, you will train to safely enter a space that was not designed for regular human occupancy, with restricted access or exit, and is or may become hazardous to a person entering it because of design, construction, location, atmosphere or materials in it.

METI’s Confined Space Hazardous Entry provides training for Confined Space Entry Supervisors, Attendants and Entrants. Whether you work, plan, or supervise work areas where fall protection is required, Fall Protection Training familiarizes you with types of fall protection, methods to identify and control fall hazards, the contents of fall protection safe work plans, and selection, inspection, and proper fit of full body harnesses.

Our Basic Frame Scaffold Training – Staging User & Erector Training certifies you to erect or use scaffold and meet Nova Scotia Workplace Health & Safety Regulations, WHSR’s 2013, Part 23 and CSA Z797-18 requirements. Train to demonstrate knowledge and ability in the application of the rules and regulations, safe operational procedures, and emergency plans for the type of access scaffold systems being used with METI’s Basic Frame Scaffold Training – Staging User & Erector Training.
