Reliability & Performance

Asset Reliability Practitioner Course

The Asset Reliability Practitioner [ARP] Category I “PLANT-WIDE AWARENESS” course is intended for everyone working within an organization who in any way influence the management, design, engineering, procurement, maintenance, or operation of an organization that involves critical rotating machinery and electrical equipment.

Vibration Analysis

Vibration CAT I-III Courses

Mobius courses are unique in the world of vibration analysis training. To make theory easier to understand we use 3D animations and software simulations. The animations take you inside the machine and show you why failures occur and how the vibration changes as the condition worsens. Mobius Institute software simulators provide another level of understanding; they give you the ability to adjust the type and severity of a machine fault and visually see the relationship of the fault and the corresponding vibration signal. In addition, we have interactive case histories with actual vibration data that can be fed into your instruments and software so you can hone your diagnostic skills. Our courses blend the important theoretical concepts with practical techniques to ensure that the trained analysts can put their knowledge to work with confidence.

Vibration CAT I-III Online Course

Do you need to become a certified vibration analyst, but find it inconvenient leave your work (or family) to travel?  Are you uncertain of how successful you may be taking an online course?  Mobius Institute has a complete solution for you, that addresses these concerns.  Mobius Institute offers ISO 18436 Category I, II and III Vibration Analyst training delivered by means of Internet-based, online (or distance) learning courses.

Vibration ISO CAT IV Hybrid Course

You are qualified to lead condition monitoring teams and will have a deep understanding of machine dynamics and failure modes.  With your knowledge and qualifications you are able to design tests to solve difficult problems and identify underlying issues to prevent reoccurrence.  There are no rotating machines problems too difficult to solve.  You will carry the highest regard in the field of machine condition monitoring.  But be warned; everyone will be seeking your assessment of their machine problems!

Waveform Analysis Three Day Course

Time waveform analysis is a powerful condition monitoring tool yet it is often misunderstood and as a result, underutilized. It is an essential skill for experienced vibration analysts. You will learn the relationship between the FFT spectrum and the time waveform and how different fault conditions can be diagnosed that would be missed using only FFT spectra, such as gearbox tooth faults, bearing faults, flow related faults, impacts and rubs. You will learn how the type and severity of the fault changes the signal shape in both amplitude and frequency. You will also learn how to set up your instruments for data collection, signal processing, alarms and special tests.

ODS & Modal Analysis Three Day Course

Have you ever looked at route based spectrums and waveforms in alarm and couldn’t figure out the source of the vibration? Have you ever had difficulty convincing others of your diagnosis? Have you ever diagnosed resonance but didn’t have a recommendation for correction? Operational Deflection Shape (ODS) and Modal Analysis are powerful diagnostic tools that allow the vibration analyst to visualize, analyze and identify corrective actions to solve vibration issues on rotating machines and structures. Even the most experienced vibration analyst will benefit from this unique course and will learn how to use and apply these impressive diagnostic techniques.
