When used with domestic wastewater, MBR processes can produce effluent of high quality enough to be discharged to the coastal, surface, or brackish waterways or to be reclaimed for urban irrigation. Other advantages of MBRs over conventional processes include small footprint, easy retrofit, and upgrading old wastewater treatment plants. It is possible to operate MBR processes at higher mixed liquor suspended solids (MLSS) concentrations compared to conventional settlement separation systems, thus reducing the reactor volume to achieve the same loading rate. Two MBR configurations exist: External sidestream MBR, where membranes are a separate unit process requiring an intermediate pumping step,and Internal submerged MBR or Immersed MBR. where the membranes are immersed in and integral to the biological reactor.

TFT can design and provide different flat sheet ceramic membrane modules according to different applications and customers requirements. The membrane modules are made of SS304 or SS316L And consist of flat sheet ceramic membranes, frame, front shroud, air diffuser, hosep`oe, catchment pipe, hose coupler etc. Normally the flat sheet ceramic membranes installed in the modules are FCM1020or FCM104O, and the total membrane areas can be 25m2,50m2,100m2,200m2, etc. Our flat sheet ceramic membrane modules are widely used in different waste water treatment, especially for MBR system. The membrane modules are good and reliable quality, short delivery time.

Membrane Bioreactors   (MBR)   for wastewater treatment is a combination of a suspended growth biolog:cal treatment method, usually activated sludge, with membrane filtration equipment typically low-pressure microfiltration (MF) or ultrafiltration (UF) membranes.lt is now widely used for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment. TFT has experience on ceramic membrane technology for over twenty years. We develope different kind of ceramic membranes like tubular CRM membrane. FCM flat sheet membrane and PCR honeycomb membranes. CRM tubular ceramic membranes have been applied for sidestream MBR application like landfill leachate treatment. In recent year, more and more FCM flat membranes have been used to replace polymeric MBR system in heavy fouling waste water projects.

Inorganic membrane is a kind of porous fine ceramic filter which is sintered from Alumina or Titania , Zirconia under ultra-high temperature. Inorganic ceramic membranes normally have  an asymmetrical structure with porous support and active membrane layer. The macro porous support ensures the mechanical resistance while the active layer serves as functions of separation ranging from microfiltration, ultrafiltration and  nanofiltration (from 10μm down to 1KD).Inorganic ceramic Membrane always runs in crossflow filtration (tangential flow filtration). The turbid fluid goes through inorganic membrane membrane layer inside the channel at a high velocity. Driven by Trans-Membrane Pressure(TMP), the clean liquid with micro-molecule passes through the membrane layer vertically to permeation, the solid and big molecule is rejected in retentate. The feed fluid is thus clarified,concentrated and purified.

FCM flat sheet membrane is made of Al₂O₃, which is suitable for solid-liquid separation and MBR in harsh situations. TFT’s FCM flat sheet membranes are made of Al₂O₃, which are characterized by their excellent chemical and thermal stability and their resistance to harsh chemical cleaners. The separation layer of FCM is coated on the surface, which makes FCM only used in outside-in mode. In order to maintain the filtration ability and flux stability, aeration is usually used to reduce the fouling on the surface.

PCR series product is a new type of inorganic ceramic membranes. Compared with normal multi-channel tubular membranes, PCR series have more advantages in water treatment.

Membrane pilot machines can be used for testing purpose of membrane process. Different pore size of MF/UF/NF/RO membrane can be installed on those pilot units  for liquid separation/ clarification/ concentration.
