Gaseous Fuels and Gaseous Fuel Vehicles Training
Rising concerns on the effects of fossil fuels on the world’s environment combined with their increased cost when compared with alternative fuels are making gaseous fuel vehicles more common on our nation’s roadways. With increased vehicle use, the chance of these new technologies being involved in a vehicular accident also increases. First responders need to be trained on the differences between these vehicles and their conventional counterparts and on the proper procedures for safely addressing incidents involving compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas, propane autogas, and hydrogen powered vehicles. This course is designed to educate firefighters, law enforcement, and emergency medical services personnel on the properties and procedures to follow when dealing with gaseous fuel vehicles. Anyone can attend these classes as a participant, however only a first responder with a training background can participate in a train-the-trainer specific course.First Responder Safety Training: Biofuels and Biofuel Vehicles
