Osorno's company history begins in Europe.

In 1985, Dr. H. Peter Hombach and Mr. Walter Frechen founded Osorno's predecesor, EURAM Innovative Technologies, in the country of Germany. EURAM quickly established itself in North America, incorporating in North Dakota. This branch relocated to Canada in 1998 and became Osorno in 2000.

Osorno began operation on September 1, building on the success of EURAM Innovative Technologies. In 2020, we celebrated 35 years of Osorno's company history as a leader of environmental technologies and process automation.

Currently, the Osorno Group includes Osorno Enterprises Inc. (osorno.ca), Biocompact Ltd. (biocompact.ca) and the Avalon Institute of Applied Science Inc. (avalon-institute.org). In memory of Dr. Peter Hombach, we published Wine-Cellar.ca. Outside of the office, Peter was a dedicated winemaker. We have decided to publish his unfinished winemaking book on this website.
