The Pondnymph aerator/mixers have been designed to increase the effectiveness of surface aeration while keeping energy requirements to a minimum. This has been achieved by developing aeration using the flow of the water to draw in air without the need for air pumps or compressors. The fine air bubbles produced are delivered beneath a high velocity surface flow to maximise bubble retention time and oxygen transfer.

Pondskater aerator/mixer have been designed as highly adaptable system to aerator water and wastewater. The basic Pondskater relies on passive aeration as water with low dissolved oxygen is drawn from depth and dispersed across the surface of the water body/treatment lagoon.. We can also offer a range of accessories to greatly increase the aeration and area covered by the Pondskater aerator/mixer. The PondskaterTM can be powered off-grid with one of our solar photovoltaic arrays with battery pack for operating in remote areas.

Our unique design of fine bubble aeration equipment provide cost effective, efficient aeration for the raising of dissolved oxygen levels and increasing of water circulation in ponds, lakes and treatment lagoons. They have been designed to maximise air to water transfer while gently circulating the water, without disturbance to the sediment/sludge layer.

Barley straw has been used for many years for the control of algal growth in the fresh water systems of the UK. If used correctly it can be an excellent tool in the control of algae bloom formation. Mixed results have been reported on its use and while some swear by its effectiveness, others insist that it makes the algae problems worse. The Centre for Ecology and Hydrology have reported that certain conditions must be present for the effective use of barley straw. When these conditions are not provided then often the barley straw will make the problem worse.

The Mezzo-DB, is a state of the art ultrasonic device for algae and biofilm control. The Mezzo (Bi-Directional) - DB (Dual Bandwidth) offers features not found before in these types of devices. The bi-directional sound output is achieved with just one piezo sound emitter that operates in two different bandwidths for better control of green algae and diatoms in the lower bandwidth and blue-green algae in the higher bandwidth. The sound beam pattern would look like the illustration to the right with the sound coming from the square faces.

The *Quattro-DB® is a state of the art device by Hydro BioScience® for algae and biofilm control. The Quattro (4 Directional) - DB (Dual Bandwidth) offers features not found before in these types of devices. A radial sound output is achieved with two piezo sound emitters that can operate in two different bandwidths for better control of green algae and diatoms in the lower bandwidth and blue-green algae in the higher bandwidth, all accomplished with one device.
