Environmental Monitoring
Project Automation - Environmental Information Systems
The environmental information systems allow the management of information coming in from monitoring and data collection systems, and provide integrated tools for data analysis. They are valuable operating tools for Public Institutions (ARPA, Regions) that are responsible for managing the environmental information coming from remote systems in order to take decisions aimed at the environmental improvement. These systems are able to support the user in all environmental management process activities and allow therefore the integrated management and analysis of different environmental issues of the territory (air, water, traffic...).
Project Automation - Air Quality Monitoring System
The offer related to the air pollution monitoring consists mainly in monitoring networks made up of fixed stations and/or mobile units conforming to the European and national laws in force. A detection network allows the carrying out of a careful and continuos control of the air pollution problems and to acquire complete air quality information to meet the requirements of the current laws.
Mobility Supervision and Control
Project Automation - Restricted Traffic Zones Digital Control Systems
The automatic control system for access to Restricted Traffic Zones (RTZ) proposed by Project Automation has received approval from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport with the Italian Decree no. 2528 of 5 May 2011 and subsequent extensions thereof. The system will help regulate access to RTZ through automatic recognition of enabled vehicles and the subsequent detection of any infringement by unauthorised vehicles.
Project Automation - Traffic Data Collection Systems
This system allows to collect traffic data (typically: speed, counting, density) for Advanced Traffic Information and Management Services (ATIS-ATMS). Traffic data are collected through sensors of different kind: inductive loop, non intrusive technologies such as digital processing of video signals, “above ground” devices such as radar, microwaves, laser.
Project Automation - Automatic Incident Detection System (AID)
This approach is aimed at increasing safety and security levels for drivers and infrastructure managers. Events such as stopped vehicles, counterdirection vehicles, presence of pedestrians are automatically detected through digital processing of video streams. Also traffic condition (fluid, dense, congested) can be continuously monitored. Project Automation has gathered a significant experience, having successfully carried out several project with the application of AID to important motorway stretches, typically integrated with a surveillance system.
Project Automation - Variable Message Signs System (VMS)
The Variable Message Signs (VMS) system is a valid tool to display traffic info and communication messages frequently updated, clearly visible and readable by drivers travelling also a high speeds.
Project Automation - Parking Guidance Systems
InfoPark, the Project Automation solution for parking guidance, has been designed and implemented to provide updated information to drivers on parking occupancy.
Project Automation - Urban Traffic Control System (U.T.C.)
The Urban Traffic Control (UTC) systems pursue central management of coordinated traffic lights installations.
Project Automation - Integrated Systems for Mobility Management
To meet the growing need of people and goods mobility, Public Administrations are choosing updated approach to integrate for access control, traffic and areas video surveillance, vehicle monitoring, counting and classification, traffic lights coordinated management through UTC system, Advanced Traveller Information Services (ATIS).
Project Automation - Dangerous Goods Monitoring System
The transport of Dangerous Good by Route is nowadays an important phenomenon to be carefully monitored. Different technical approaches are emerging; Project Automation have designed and implemented a system that doesn’t require equipment to be installed on trucks, allowing to detect every truck moving dangerous goods. The system requires the installation of enhanced cameras, as used for access control at reserved areas, able to gather the rear (or the front) section of every detected truck.
