The system consists of variable message signs controlled by a processing unit and managed centrally by the PACIS software, designed and implemented by Project Automation.

The centre provides management functions and overall system supervision. The system allows predefined messages and pictograms to be displayed and managed according to a schedule or upon operator’s request or by special software applications that identify traffic scenarios.

The central level allows to control the system autonomously and display info messages coming from a higher level Integrated Traffic Management System.
