With the QIAsymphony DSP DNA Mini Kit, in combination with the QIAsymphony GeneRead DNA FFPE Treatment Kit and QIAsymphony SP, it is possible to fully automate DNA extraction from up to 96 FFPE samples in parallel. Enzymatic removal of cytosine deamination artifacts from FFPE samples in combination with optimized protocols provide high yields of pure DNA, suitable for downstream sequencing applications in the GeneReader NGS System workflow. Novel, prefilled reagent cartridges reduce setup time and minimize manual handling. Bar code reading enables full tracking of reagents.

mericon Pathogen Detection Assays are a suite of kits for the target-specific detection of bacterial pathogen DNA in food, animal feed, and pharmaceutical products. All of the assays use the same real-time PCR-based protocol. They are part of the comprehensive QIAGEN food safety testing portfolio, which also features dedicated sample preparation kits and assays for ingredient authentication. mericon assays perform optimally on the Rotor-Gene Q, but have also been validated for block thermal cyclers.

The QuantiFast Pathogen +IC Kits are designed for sensitive and rapid real-time PCR or one-step RT-PCR detection of pathogen nucleic acids using sequence-specific probes. To enable high process safety through correct interpretation of negative detection results, each kit contains reagents for duplex real-time detection of a user-defined pathogen target (e.g., virus, bacteria, fungi etc.) with the QIAGEN Internal Control.

The QuantiTect Virus Kit is specially designed for highly sensitive detection of viral nucleic acids. Multiplex assays enable detection of multiple viral RNA and/or DNA targets plus internal controls without loss of sensitivity. The supplied 5x master mix contains HotStarTaq Plus DNA Polymerase and dNTP mix in addition to ROX dye, at a concentration optimized for real-time cyclers that require a high ROX concentration in the amplification reaction. The supplied QuantiTect Virus RT Mix contains a unique formulation of Sensiscript Reverse Transcriptase optimized for highly sensitive detection of viral RNA. The QuantiTect Virus +ROX Vial Kit is similar to the QuantiTect Virus Kit except that it includes a ROX-free 5x master mix and a separate vial of ROX dye.

The QIAGEN One-Step RT-PCR Kit provides a blend of Sensiscript and Omniscript Reverse Transcriptases, HotStarTaq DNA Polymerase, QIAGEN OneStep RT-PCR Buffer, a dNTP mix, and Q-Solution, a novel additive that enables efficient amplification of "difficult" (e.g., GC-rich) templates. The easy one-tube setup and optimized components result in highly sensitive and successful results.
