Body Re-Manufacturing
Our approach to remanufacturing used refuse vehicles is meticulous down to the very last detail and our quality standards are the highest. The end product is difficult to tell apart from a new refuse truck body straight off the factory floor. See the results for yourself in our ‘Before and After’ Gallery. We strip back the dustcart body, inspect the steel shell and packer assembly, and assess all mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components for durability. All vulnerable parts of the municipal vehicle body are factured or replaced. As part of our service we automatically replace packer assembly pins and bushes, hydraulic hoses and electrical wiring, with new components. The body and packer assembly are shot blasted, primed and assembled before being mounted onto a chassis of your choice. Your refuse truck can then be painted in your company livery. Our team of engineers can remanufacture all makes and models of refuse vehicle and municipal vehicle bin lifts including Dennis Eagle, Heil, Geesink, Terberg, NTM, Otto and Zoeller. And because we offer a Bin Lift Loan Service your dustcart doesn’t need to be kept off the road. We can provide you with a temporary replacement bin-lift, free of charge, whilst yours is beingre-manufactured. Before we start remanufacturing the bin lift we strip it back to the basic frame and draw up a work plan specification. We remanufacture the bin lifting chairs and bin lid opener mechanism as standard, and replace all pins and bushes, hydraulic hoses and electrical wiring with new. The hydraulic cylinders are pressure tested, remanufactured and certificated. The complete lifter is then shot blasted, primed and painted in a colour of your choice, before being assembled back on to your refuse truck body. With our own integrated paint facility we can remanufacture and finish refuse vehicles in record time to meet tight deadlines. Designed to accommodate municipal vehicles, the RVS purpose built Paint Shop can handle all types and sizes of refuse trucks, hook lifts, ejector trailers and bin lifting equipment. Based in Warwickshire the facility comprises a 350 sqm preparation shop and a 200 sqm paint shop, and is equipped with the latest technology. The spray booth incorporating a drying oven can produce fully-hardened 2 pack paint in just one hour. It also has a built-in modern filtration system that ensures maximum efficiency with minimal pollution. We can also produce single-pack finishes if required.
