RTI Intro

RTI Cryogenics Inc. in Cambridge, Ontario has developed patent pending technology to blend 60- cryogenic tire crumb rubber with post-industrial recycled plastic to produce a 100% recycled thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) pellet without any additives and with no effluents. This product is called XyCom TPE.

According to Plastics News global demand for TPE will rise 5.5% annually and reach 5.8 million metric tons in 2017.

RTI has signed a global Off Take Agreement with Vinmar Projects, Ltd. a Houston, TX based conglomerate (4+ billion USD sales). Vinmar will buy all of the output of the XyCom TPE pellets produced by plant for the next 10 years on a take or pay basis with payment for the product backed by their Letter of Credit.  http://www.vinmar.com

The global Off Take Agreement removes the risk of selling the product and removes the receivables risk and makes this a very attractive investment.

(NOTE: The larger the mesh size number the finer the crumb powder is, so 80- mesh is much like talcum powder)


RTI’s patent pending XyCom TPE blending technology which utilizes specially configured, off the shelf twin screw extruders to blend the 60- mesh cryo crumb rubber from the Fine Mesh system with post-industrial high density polyethylene (HDPE), low density polyethylene (LDPE) or polypropylene (PP) to produce a TPE pellet all without additives.  XyCom TPE is the only 100% recycled TPE.
