Sanexen performs a range of handling services, from simple site characterization to decommissioning of sites and PCB-contaminated materials. Throughout the years, the company has developed expertise in specific cases including the dismantling of ASKAREL-type transformers. Sanexen has all the necessary certifications and permits required for performing this type of work anywhere in Canada.

Sanexen developed its proprietary PCBD process for the decontamination and regeneration of PCB-contaminated mineral oils. The ability of this mobile process to perform in situ decontamination on either de-energized or energized transformers represents a significant asset. Ultrasorption is another of Sanexen’s proprietary technologies used in the treatment of water contaminated by heavy organic compounds such as PCBs, PAHs and PCPs. This process, also mobile, can be adapted according to project requirements.
