Geocellular crate-based surface water storage, attenuation and infiltration system. SDS GEOIight® is an ultra lightweight honeycombed modular structure made from recycled PVC. The ready to install units are preformed to provide an underground stormwater storage facility, for the application of stormwater attenuation or infiltration. The high void rate (>95%), high compressive strength (to 1000KN/m2) and low resistance to water flow makes SDS GEOIight® an ideal material for cost efficient and maintainable underground water storage during storm conditions.

The rate at which water is released can be controlled by a Vortex Flow Control (VFC). SDS supplies a range of VFCs and will specify the model that best meets the specific requirements of each installation. Our Vortex Flow Control (VFC) is a self-activating device which induces a vortex motion in the flow to control the rate at which water is allowed to enter downstream drainage systems. The energy inherent in the water flow is harnessed to generate the vortex and hence the device has no need of external energy supplies; furthermore, the Flow Control itself has no moving parts.

SDS Aqua-Filter uses hydrodynamic and gravitational forces to remove gross pollutants from surface water runoff. It then filters out fine sediments, nutrients, heavy metals and hydrocarbons through percolation, adsorption, biological breakdown and ionic exchange, prior to final conveyance.

SDS Go-Filter is a mobile treatment device for surface water runoff, designed to reduce turbidity levels and total suspended solids in discharged water.

SDS Aqua-Swirl is a custom engineered, flow through water quality device that utilises hydrodynamic separation technology to maximise the removal of coarse sediment, debris and free floating oil within surface water runoff.

Bypass Separators fully treat all flows generated by rainfall rates of up to 6.5mm per hour. These separators are used when it is considered an acceptable risk not to provide full treatment for high flows, for example where only small spillages occur and the risk of spillage is low such as on short stay car parks, roadways and major trunk roads, light industrial and goods yards.

Full retention separators treat the full flow that can be delivered by a drainage system, which is normally equivalent to the flow generated by a rainfall intensity of 65mm/hr.Full retention separators are used where there is a risk of regular contamination with oil and a foreseeable risk of significant spillages for example from vehicle maintenance areas and retail fuel forecourts.All full retention separators have an automatic closure device (ACD) fitted as standard. Compulsory for all PPG3-compliant full retention separators, the ACD prevents accumulated pollutants flowing through the unit when maximum storage level is reached.

Forecourt separators are full retention separators specified to retain on site the maximum spillage likely to occur on a petrol filling station. They are required for both safety and environmental reasons and will treat spillages occurring during the vehicle refuelling and road tanker delivery.The size of the separator is increased in order to retain the possible loss of the contents of one compartment of a road tanker, which may be up to 7,600 litres.Forecourt separators can be Class 1 or 2 and may not need a coalescing filter if discharging, with water authority consent, into a foul sewer.
