The recording and retention of historic features and integration with public realm contribute to the potential success of new developments.

Air & Water Quality Management Services

360 Environmental provides air and water quality assessment and management capabilities across all stages of projects from planning, construction, operations through to decommissioning and emergency response. Air and water quality sampling and analysis programs are an important part of understanding the environment prior, during and post development. If impacts are not understood or managed correctly, soil, water and air quality levels can alter such that emissions (particulate levels and contaminants, including asbestos) and discharges (contaminates, turbidity levels, pH and/or nutrient levels) can result in environmental impacts. Air and water quality data are often an integral component of the community consultation process, providing stakeholders with confidence that there are no real environmental or health risks.

Audit Services

Audits are conducted with a view to improving the overall environmental performance of an organisation or compliance with legal requirements through feedback and corrective action responses, communicated to the auditee following completion of an audit. Auditing is a management tool for controlling environmental risk.Understanding risks are a key component of a business’s Environmental Management System. Compliance audits focus on areas of high environmental risk as a priority. These are aspects that if not managed appropriately may result in significant environmental harm. In Western Australia, these risks are managed under the Environmental Protection Act 1986 and may be Part IV Ministerial Conditions or Part V licencesand permits (including Clearing of Native Vegetation).

Contaminated Assessments & Management Services

Contaminated land is largely a symptom of historical land use(s), often resulting from industrial, agricultural and mining activities, and the manufacture, use and disposal of chemicals. Whilst the Environmental Protection Act 1986 provides for the prevention, control and abatement of pollution and environmental harm, and for the conservation, preservation, protection, enhancement and management of the environment, the need for legislation specifically addressing contaminated site assessment and management was needed. Public concern regarding the health risks associated with the redevelopment of land formerly used for waste disposal, industrial or commercial purposes, triggered the Contaminated Sites Act 2003 and related legislation (including the Contaminated Sites Regulations 2006) to identify, manage and remediate contaminated land.

Dredging Environmental Management Services

360 Environmental can provide clients with environmental advice and management of services on all aspects of dredge planning, monitoring and management. Impacts from dredging and other infrastructure developments are often at the forefront of community concerns regarding large scale projects in the marine environment. Assessment and monitoring of these impacts remains a legislative and licensing imperative, and can represent a significant component of project monitoring costs.
