Soundproofing for Floors
SRS - Acoustilay Acoustic Flooring Underlay System
Acoustilay is a unique acoustic flooring system combining both mass and resilience to help reduce both airborne noise (TV Music, Speech), and impact noise (Footsteps etc.). Acoustilay can be used to introduce effective soundproofing in many domestic, residential and commercial environments.
SRS - Impactafoam Acoustic Foams
Impactafoam is designed to form a resilient layer reducing impact noise transmission in concrete and timber floors. Impactafoam is an inert cross-linked closed-cell polyethylene foam, therefore providing a vapour barrier with good compression strength. In a concrete construction, Impactafoam is laid as a membrane between a structural concrete floor of mass 300Kg/m2 and the finishing screed. For a raft floor construction Impactafoam batten strips are applied to the underside of the timber battens. In a conventional timber construction self adhesive batten strips are easily applied to the top of the floor joists. This forms a resilient layer between the joists and the boarding, reducing impact noise.
SRS - Model Maxideck - High Performance Acoustic Flooring Overlay System
Maxideck is an extremely high-performance acoustic flooring system, designed to deal predominately with the problem of airborne noise (TV, Music Speech) traveling through floors. Maxideck is 28kg per sqm and it is this mass that ensures it is the highest performing system of its type on the market. Maxideck can also offer some impact noise (Footsteps, etc.) reduction, but if this is your main problem.
